Comment:

Dr. Abramson is intelligent and has an impressive knowledge of French. In FR2243, she conducts all lectures in French but speaks at a slow enough pace to understand. She is encouraging in class discussions and will help you if you're stuck. She is willing to help outside of class as well. She's a relatively tough grader but not unreasonable.

Comment:

Dr. Abramson is such a nice and wonderful professor and person. I have had her for 2 classes and have enjoyed both. She really makes you think and use your French to communicate, but always helps you out if you're stuck. She's very understanding and knowledgable in everything she has taught. Overall if you try/do the work you'll get a good grade.

She "encourages" students by criticizing them personally and bullying them. Her teaching is inefficient in that she continually asks a highly philosophical question and waits (minutes of silence) for someone to respond, which loses everybody else in the class who doesn't understand. Unless you flatter her, she has no willingness to help you. Cold.

Great professor if you're a diligent student. She is very warm towards those who do their work and very cold towards those who don't. She holds great class discussions and encourages questions. Lots of homework that must be done to participate in class. My French improved so much in her class! Definitely worth all the work if you want to improve.

abramson is an awesome prof. she speaks beautifully and encourages open discussion and thought. she knows her stuff too. i would say she is one of the best teachers in OU french department.

I didn't think she was "cold" at all; quite the contrary in fact. She always came into class with a huge smile on her face. She even had a smile in her voice. I didn't think she was a hard grader either. Maybe she just didn't like you?
