Would recommend. This man is a genius and extremely helpful. Take advantage of his office hours and you will see a huge improvement in your grade. O chem is not easy but Dr. G explains it clearly with tips. Great grading system. Would take O chem again if it were with him.

Dr. G is one of the best professors I've ever had the pleasure of taking. He uses little devices and schemes to help you learn. If there's something you don't understand he will gladly explain it again. Very approachable outside of class and will do anything to make sure you learn and understand the material. He is very helpful and he teaches in a way that everyone should be able to understand. Even if you hate organic, you probably will leave his class with a new love for it! Very helpful processor who explains the material well. Prepare for quizzes because they are easy to fail if you don't. Go to class and do the practice sheets as this makes studying easier. Reaction Notebook is helpful in learning the material although the amount of problems required is ridiculous in comparison to the amount of points.

BEST OCHEM PROFESSOR! Make sure you keep up with your reaction notebook cos it'll help you a lot during exam time. His exams are mainly reactions and maybe 1 or 2 namings. Keep up with the notebook and practice worksheets and you'll do fine. Go to him for help if you're stuck..he helps you out a lot. Take him for Ochem 1 and 2. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Absolutely amazing. Is always there to help if you go to his office, and emails back immediately. He makes the class more relatable and gives so much extra practice problems. 3 tests and a final that he makes up. A few quizzes but he lets you know in advance. Keep up with the reaction notebook it helps!

Extremely helpful! Does a lot of practice in class so it really helps you learn the material. Provides a lot of practice to do outside of class. He seems like he really cares about each student's success and love of Organic Chemistry. Gives a 10 minute break in class after doing a lot of new material. AWESOME TEACHER.

Had him for Org 1&2. Best orgo professor at KSU. Don't wait the last minute to study reactions!His quizzes and exams are mainly reactions, no MC. Do the practice problems he provides on Vista.If you can do those, you'll be fine.GO TO HIM if you're lost. He'll teach you til you understand it. Very approachable, highly recommend him :)

His class requires a lot of study time (it's organic chemistry). If you need help dont be afraid to ask him!!! He's very helpful. Do the practice sheets on time and ask for help if you feel like you need it. SHOW UP TO CLASS!!! And Practice, practice, practice the problems. The book was useless to me.

Excellent Teacher! Organic Chemistry is a very difficult subject, but Dr. G works hard at helping his students understand it. If you study, attend all lectures, work on practice problems, and ask him questions, then you will easily get an A just like I did. This class is definitely not for last minute crammer's and people who don't work hard...

Great professor. Don't miss class!! - his lectures are exactly what will be on quizes/exams and he prepares you very well. He posts ppts but they are useless if you don't have class notes to go along with them. Didn't read the book at all, he posts LOTS of practice sheets -- USE THEM TO STUDY! I?m in agreement with some of the other commentary regarding Dr Gwaltney. I also thought he was going to be awesome, but I don't think he did an adequate job explaining the course material, and occasionally showed a lack of patience answering questions. Most of the time, I taught myself using the textbook.
