Comment:

Prof Johnson's class is intense but helpful. Compared to other psych101 professors that my friends took with, she's requiring a lot more memorization. However, it has been proven to be an effective way to learn new stuff, at least to me. I still can recall the content of lots of notes from class now.

regularly misinforms her students about psychological theories and forces them to do lots of memorization and regurgitation -- very little critical analysis of anything. on the bright side, the class is taught at about a 9th-grade level. still, i wouldn't call it a pleasant experience.

from an alum, class of 2002. prof. kulik-johnson was a faboulous professor. very funny and kind, taught very clearly and thoroughly with lots of real world examples, and is very informed on adolescent behavior. she was sometimes harder to get in touch with because she is often not on campus, but it was not problematic for me. great psych professor.

i loved prof. kulik-johnson. she was very responsive by email, had a great sense of humor, and i got a lot out of the class projects. i'm surprised by how much i can still remember from the class. her teaching style was very effective for me.

this was one of the worst classes i have taken at wellesley. useless group projects (which students grade) and boring lectures. she was difficult to get in contact with because she seems more interested in being with her kids than at school.
