One of the best teachers here. She really tries to relate to the kids in the class which helps a lot. There is a case study for the class, if you don't do it, you get a bad grade, end of story. She is understanding when it comes to homework, she knows you have a life out of school and if something bad happens she understands!

She is the most amazing professor! Take her for Latin you wont be disappointed!!! Class is fun breaks up the day she is an amazing person. Funny, awesome, real, understanding- 5 quizes open book 1 open book midterm and fun project. Wish I could have her for every class!!!

Comment:

Anyone who gives her a poor rating didn't show up to class and didn't do the work. She's an amazing teacher and I loved her class so much. She's not wired and scatterbrained, she's energetic which is what you need in a boring language class. She does tend to stray off topic but her stories are funny. I highly suggest taking her.

I have had Professor Meisel for 2 semesters of Latin & 1 of Early Childhood. She is seriously an amazing & understanding woman & educator. After having a sub-par Latin teacher in the past, I was so grateful to have "magistra" Meisel, a woman who actually knew what she was teaching. Talks a lot, but that is what makes class interesting. This was such a fun class. She's very laid back and chill so you enjoy the class but she also is very attentive to the needs of the students and will help if you need it. She gossips a lot but it doesn't get in the way of your learning experience in fact it may enhance it. I'd def. recommend.

Seriously, do nOt pay attention to the comments that say she is a bad teacher. She is awesome and she's pretty funny. She is so understanding and offers you help whenever you need it. She gives quite a few assignments but on the first day with their due dates so you have PLENTY of time to do it. She's not a harsh grader and she is a GREAT person.

One of the best teacher I've had at Bergen. She teachs students the think out of the box and to be innovative in the classroom. She cares about the students in her classes as if they're her children.
