Took her my first semester and her class definitely taught me to be a good notetaker!! The class material is very interesting, atleast to me it was. She knows her stuff! But, she is tough. She expects you to come to class, prepared & ready to learn!

She is one of my favorite professors at RU and I'm not a history major. If you come to class, take good notes, and do the reading guides you will make at least a B on the tests. She is very sweet and her lectures are interesting enough to keep you engaged. You don't need to read the textbook but you do need to briefly skim it.

She gives you a 165 question study guide every time you start a new section of the class and out of all those study guide questions only 2-3 will be on a test or quiz blank powerpoints have to listen to what she says in class pretty boring lectures

You have to take notes and go to class to pass this class. The only grades are 4 quizzes and 4 Test. She provides a reading guide to help study for test. You can talk to her and show her your answers to make sure they are correct. There are essays on the test, she gives you the questions in advance and you can show her your answers ahead of time.

Amazing professor who absolutely knows her stuff. Lecture heavy, lots of reading assignments, quizzes and exams are essay only in 300 level courses, so get ready to write your butt off. Great teacher and I absolutely loved her class discussions. Great class to be a part of

The class is fairly easy as there's no mandatory homework, all quizzes are multiple choice, tests are multiple choice with an essay question, and you get a study guide for the tests as well as the essay prompt ahead of time. However, she does tend to grade essays fairly harshly and if you don't attend class you'll suffer.

Knowledgeable, and she makes sure you know it by being a bit of a know-it-all. Wants participation, but will make you feel dumb for trying to answer. Course is full of busy work.

I definitely would not take Dr. Ferrari if you are not a fan of History. She takes her lectures very seriously and have to teach yourself the material to yourself if you do not attend all of the classes. Over heard her speaking badly about me during her office hours to another student so I am not a huge fan.

Worst professor ever, mocks you and makes you feel dumb. Also what she lectures you on is never on the test so class is pretty much pointless. She gives out reading guides but they are 160 questions plus and you will only be tested on 50 of them max. Waste of time and she makes my 100 level history class seem impossible to pass. Terrible Professor!

If you go to class, and read the assigned readings along with the reading guide she provides (it literally goes in order with what you're reading) you'll be fine. She is very knowledgeable. Her tests 20-25 multiple choice with an essay. She provides usually four essay topics a few days before, and will choose 2 and you then you pick.

One of the worst professors I've ever had. On the test she expects you to write two full essays perfectly on two topics in 30 minutes and answer the 30 questions. What she lectures in class isn't even on the test and when she gets asked a question she says "I don't know I'll have to google it"

Her tests are very difficult and she wants you to know every detail about everything. Even after spending 3 hours a day on her class, I couldn't get better than a low B (this is a level 100 class, people). When I asked how to do better she said I can't and didn't seem to care. The worst professor I've had in 3 years of college!

She has a lot of knowledge, you will learn a lot in this class. If you do the study guides, you'll do well. Even if you study a lot for the essay portion of the exams, however, she'll find something you left out and dock points. Other than that, I would recommend her.

If you are going to take a professor for 295, it should be Dr. Ferrari. She will mark up your paper with ink, but having her made me a much better researcher and writer.

she has some cool interesting facts, however they usually arent on the test. she does make history come alive but her tests are a little hard. She gives a study guide, but really, if you dont show up to class, you will not do well. most questions are from videos we watch and from study guides/ lectures. no homework. it's all tests and quizzes
