She allows discussion a lot of times which don't pertain to the test but are interesting at times. Two test were given throughout the semester so you must do decent on both if you expect a decent grade but she also allows a optional paper(8pg.) at the end of the semester to count as the final.

This teacher has absolutely no idea about anything she is teaching. The answers are easy because her understanding of the material is so abysmally low that she is unable to ask difficult questions. Take it for the A, take Raabe if you want your money to go towards education and not simply a degree.

I had her for Global Political Issues and she was pretty easy. Lectures are boring but her tests are ok. Multiple choice and essay. You can write on the margins of multiple choice explaining your selection if not the one she expected and she'll mark it right. Take her, its an easy A or B but its boring to sit through lectures.

absolutely amazing. i have never been so well informed and interested in political science before. she has a beautiful arkansas accent and is able to keep my attention focused throughout the entire class period. EVERYONE SHOULD TAKE HER!! i find her extremely helpful and obviously has a broad span of knowledge in her field.

have her for two classes this semester because I heard she was easy... Easy to get a good grade just terrible to sit through her classes. Hardly lectures about what you need to learn and just rambles and lets the class ramble

Prof. Johnston was my advisor and it took me a while to really get to know her/like her. SHe has been incredibly helpful to me during my time at Loyola and since (at Law School. SHe is the only teacher at Loyola that I still speak to. Easy grader!!

Comment:
Her Euro&Comp Gov class is the only alternative to Raabe. Her lectures are repetitive, and her slow Arkansas drawl doesn't help the situation. Easy compared to Raabe and a very nice person, but this class is painful to sit through.
