I ended up dropping this guys class. All he did was tell lame jokes and bad mouth the schools adminstration. NO LECTURE. He gave out handouts that might as well have been in a foreign language,since he didnt explain things to us.Half the other class is watching videos that are confusing. This might as well be a "self taught" class. No thanks!

Alot of reading, alot of memorizing, alot of videos. If you're a novice to astronomy do NOT take this teacher. I had a really hard time w/this class, too much information all at once & not alot of notes or easy explanations to material. Tests have alot of questions 50+. You better know your stuff. I ended up dropping.

ok so he is pretty funny, very nice, never says rude comments to anybody. But for the lazy ppl out there dont take him, its an easy class but you need to do all labs and hws and study on your own for tests in order to get a B or an A. tests are super hard, but his grading scale goes from 85-100 A 75-85 B etc.

very intense class to take. The class consist of homework and test that have 40 questions every couple chapters that he covers. And the whole class was freaky out because alot of what's on the test he doesn't cover. So you have to read those chapters that he covers to hopefully pass. Good luck

Dr. Sills is a goofy professor. It's not a easy class to take. Test are extremely important part of your whole grading because homework is a small percentage. Read the book because what he doesn't cover it's in the book. I would not recommend anybody to waste their time and take his class.

you have to read a chapter a week, homework for every chapter, but he only grades half of the homework assignments, and he doesnt tell which ones to keep you honest. the labs are really fun and helpful. learned a lot in this class, Dr. Sills is very fair, funny, and a great teacher, highly recommend taking him for a lab

Dr. Sills is the best teacher at Wright. I took him for Physical Science. His class is interesting and he is a character. Besides for him, I hated that ghetto school with those loony far to the left Liberal teachers. Peretti has a good class too. I like them both because they are straight to the point and no nonsense.
