I would not recommend taking this teacher even to my worst enemy. She is a HARSH grader. She does not turn assignments at ALL, you will be waiting even after the semester to revive and feedback or letter grade on your speeches.

This teacher will not turn assignments in a timely fashion, she will wait until the very end of the semester to give you feedback on your speeches. I'm not sure how we are expected to improve on are speeches if there are never even graded. Do not take this teacher you will most certainly regret it.

This class was by far the hardest class that I've ever taken at harper, she does not turn in any assignments until after the final due date is given. Meaning it is impossible to improve on speeches and outlines. When feedback is given it's very vague and doesn't help whats so ever. Please spare yourself by not taking this class next semester.

At first the class was very straight forward, however, continuing through the class the zooms became longer and full of nonsense, which made it harder to understand the requirements for the assignment. Due to this, she would grade our outlines awful saying to "refer to the lecture" when in reality there was nothing to refer to. take someone else

Very harsh grader it is almost impossible to pass this course with an A, she will mark you off 10 or more points for even the slightest/smallest mistake that you make on any one of the multiple assignments that she gives. She also does not turn in any assignments until the very last day of class. How am I suppose to grow and improve ??

WARNING PLEASE DO NOT TAKE!!!!! She will not grade your assignments in a timely fashion, she will only turn in your three speech assignments well after the semester has ended. HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO IMPROVE ON SPEECHES WITH NO FEEDBACK??? Save your self the stress and don't check her class when you register for next semester.

Honestly one of the worst teachers that I have ever come across in my 20 years that I have lived on this planet. She doesn't offer much help and rarely responds to emails. She does not turn grades in whatsoever, I received my first speech grade after the semester ended leaving zero chance for improvement on the three speeches u must complete.

This teacher caused me more missed nights sleep then any other teacher I have come into contact with at harper. She does not turn grades in whatsoever, and grades harshly when she does. Taking 10 points off for minor mistakes, only leaving brief confusing comments as feedback. Save your self the headaches and stress by not choosing this teacher!!!!

If this website allowed me the ability to give this prof. a zero instead of a one she would definitely earn that zero. She gives zeros as place holders, and rarely grades your assignments. You will be waiting untill the end of the semester to receive any of your speech grades, she also grades extremely tough taking 10 points or more off each mista

PLEASE save your self the time by taking this class it will only lead to nights of frustration and stress. She does not update the 3 speeches that you will have to give in this course until after the semester has ended. Ultimately leaving you clueless on how to better improve your speeches, every speech I gave I was walking in blind. DO NOT TAKE!

Babbles about nonsense for 1.5 hours on the zooms, she lectures for roughly ten minutes and the rest is filled with tangents and confusing information. She often does not like to answer questions and when she does it's often confusing on what she is saying. Does not turn any speech grades in until after the semester ends, leaving you clueless.

I emailed this teacher regarding points that I should have received on one of my outlines, she clearly overlooked one of the main points I had in the outline. When she responded she told me to look at the lecture notes, did not even acknowledge that I had the main point she said I didn't. I'm sure she doesn't read the outlines and skims them.

She is a very harsh grader, takes 10 points off for minor mistakes on outlines. This course requires 3 speeches and I did not receive my grade on any of these speeches until the very last day of the course. This being an online course she only looks at her emails twice a week and you wait long for one-worded responses. Do not take this class.

Doesn't turn any of the grades into the very last day of class and then even after I found myself waiting for her to turn assignments in after the class was finished. Leaving me asking the same question every week, how are we supposed to improve are speeches? Do we get no feedback on speeches until the end of the semester?

This teacher enters grades as zeros for placemarks, don't grade any of the speeches she requires until the very last day of class and even then after I was waiting for my grades. Leaving you without any notion on how to better improve your speeches. in addition she is a very harsh grader and will dock 10 points off assignments for minor mistakes.

Patrica grades very harshly, you mess up or even leave a word out of your outline she will dock 10 points. Minor messups on assignments drastically drop the score you will receive. Doesnt update grades at all, you will finish all ur speeches before even getting one grade back, leaving you clueless on how to improve. Overall a frustrating teacher.

She's a really nice person. she tells us to buy the book for the test, but I did not buy it and still passed the test. she is clear about what she wants in speeches and she will help you if necessary. Would recommend taking her speech 101 class.

Professor Patricia Ferguson is by far one of the best professor I've had at Harper. She is such a sweet, caring person and she encourages all her students to participate in class. Attendance is a must, as well as participation! If you want to take an interpersonal communication class, HIGHLY recommend you take her! You will not regret it :)
