Pete is very prejudice, if you have a disability don't take his class, he will not want to work with you. He likes students who seat in the front of his class. Those that he doesn't like, he treats them like trash. If you know the materials already take him, if not don't; you will waste your time.......

Pete was a very difficult teacher. He was fun and had a good sense of humor, however he had extremely sloppy handwriting and moved through course material very quickly. Grade is fully on exams and no points for homework. If you're not a natural math wiz get out now!!

He is not a very good teacher. I took him because of the good reviews, and it bit me in the butt. This was my second time taking it, and I think I got a worse grade. His test are hard, different types of ?'s then he used in class. Whenever I would go and talk to him, he seemed annoyed that I was trying to get help. Acted like he didn't care.

Pete is the best! you just have to get use to his teaching style and then it is a breeze! make sure to go up to him after you get your tests and ask him questions about how he graded it and he will give you extra points!

i took it this summer and was completely left behind im no good at math but i even hired a private tutor to help me tests are very hard he ask things that you haven't learned yet over all very bummed to have put so much effort in a class in which i was taught nothing don't take this class unless you have time to learn on your own

Don't take him in the summer. He will leave you in the dust without looking back. Very concerned with getting through the material, and that's about it. Nice guy, just not a very good teacher. He doesn't really explain things completely so that everyone understands. More like a math demonstrator than a math teacher.

Professor Uluave is really one of the best 1050 teachers at UVU. He makes the first two or three weeks harder than any of the rest of the class so stick in there if you're thinking of dropping the class.

Pete is the man!!! 1050 is way hard and the class does require a lot of work out of class. But he grades on a curve. If it wasn't for the curve I would have failed. But I got a B- because the curve is so bad. (or good... however you think) He is hilarious too. His class has the highest passing %. You have to be thorough for an A. But great teacher.

Pete is the best! I hate math and was scared for 1050. After the first week I wanted to drop it cause he's so hard to understand! But after the first week its no problem. As long as you improve you'll get an A. And it helps to txplain that you suck at math. **HINT: I cried the day of the final cause i thought I did bad and he gave me an A! YAHOO!

I read comments on here about how great he was and took him...BIG MISTAKE! You can't understand him and all his grading is based on tests (not a good idea for math classes). I took Math 1010 the semester before and recieved an A...so I know it isn't me but the teacher! I ended up failing. He's not for someone who struggles w/ math!

Pete IS willing to help if YOU are willing to try, not just at the end but the whole time. He makes alot of jokes if you listen careful. His study groups are great and he basically shows exactly what types of questions to expect. I HATE math, but I worked hard, and asked him for help ALOT! Got an A!!

Do not listen to any of the negative comments. Face it, Math 1050 is a hard class but Pete really cares and is willing to help anyway he can and will even let you do the problems you got wrong on the test over again.He just wants you to understand the concepts and understand people make "goofs."First time i took the class and got an A!Thanks Pete!

After someone recommended pete to me, and I read the comments, I was excited to take his class. But he is hard to understand, doesn't give you any help when you talk to him, and it didn't matter how hard i tried. I learned nothing. Now, I'm taking an online class and I'm getting A's and i'm confident. Uluave couldn't give me that.

Pete is awesome. He is a little oonfusing in class, but seriously DO NOT stress! Just do your best, show pete you're trying. Go to the reviews, bring cookies, and just make friends with pete. He'll help you anyway he can. Just remember don't stress. I thought I was doing aweful and came out with a B.
