dr Z is definately tough but he's clear. His monotone makes him tough to listen to early in the morning but he definately knows his stuff. He skips around in the book but once you get to a review point his way makes sense (just make sure you know all the pages he discusses) Cell bio lab rocks!

I would disagree with the other folks. His lecture materials are MORE than clear. His exams may be tough, but if you take his class and work - including asking for help when you need it - you'll learn more than you would in any other Bio class.
