Polly is a free spirit. Make sure you go over everything she posts on canvas and emails. She is very vague in explaining how she grades her hybrid assignments. I came to find out after the fact that a check mark equals a B and a check plus equals an A. Sometimes the readings and videos she posts don't work.

This class is amazing. It is likely the most interesting class that I have taken! She is very engaging and leads great discussions. Her material is presented well and given real life meaning. I probably learned more in this class than any other class. Things I will remember and find useful life long. Course work is not bad, lots of reading!

Sit in the front, she tends to peter out on her sentences, so you can't hear the last three words. She was a good teacher though, and the class was simple, but a little more than average reading-wise.

Polly is so Cool!!! She is extremely fun, reasonable and entertaining in her lectures and knowledge. She definetely knows her stuff and I will be taking many more classes from her!!!

This professor does a very nice job of keeping her students interested in the course material, but she really needs help with her organization. When asking a question I rarely received an answer or was cut off before finishing my question. I truely think she is an excellent researcher, but she should not be teaching anymore.

What a wonderful professor. I loved learning from Polly this semester. She has done extensive field work and is probably one of the most knowledgeable people in the department. She cares about her students and will help you with whatever you need, whether it be in her class or your academic career.

Amazing professor; you'll want to go to her class just to hear her stories. She's not too structured, but very flexible and understanding. Take her classes! She has you do a lot but you really internalize information.
