He expects you to go over chapter before you go to class. I tought myself pretty much everything, he uses officaly finace language which can be confusing if your new to it. You have to study out of class no question about it. if you Cant allocate more time out of class for this course DO NOT take Fina 360 with him you will not pass. Test are tough

Comment:

Very knowledgeable on finance. But he is not made to be a teacher. He doesn't explain things. He uses terms nobody knows. Nice guy. No doubt. Just not a good teacher. Isn't able to see things from a student's perspective. There are way better teachers to take for this course at NEIU. Plus, his grading system makes it so everybody is competing.

Comment:

Professor Rezvanian knows his stuff, but is not the most organized person. When he hits his stride, just take notes, soak in knowledge, & save questions for later. Uses slides, but knows when to work a problem out on the board. Exams are tough, but curved. Material is straight from lecture or book. You will need to put extra effort to get an A.

Prof. Rezvanian is tough. Finance is a hard subject, this class took alot of sudying outside of the classroom, you need the book! most of the test questions were word for word from the book so if you read and study you will be fine! Rezvanian was very lenient towards students he gave EC when asked for it and clearly states his grading policy. GOOD!

This professor was awesome. All the people who are complaining that he is too tough are just lazy. I agree with his exams being tough, if by tough you mean that you actually have to put some effort into studying for them. He is the type of teacher that rewards hand work. If you want to actually learn something, take this class and quit complaining.

The hardest class I have ever taken! He is not the teacher to take!!! He may know his material, but lots of times, he even doesn't know what he is doing and leaves us to think whether he is right or wrong. Makes mistakes. Only 3 exams. Gave a student extra credit opportunity, but to no one else! How is that fair?! Don't take him!!!

I would avoid at all cost. Difficulty following lecture, book was no help, never provided time when needed help and would brush you off. Grading was even more confusing and no extra credit offered because of crazy grading scale. Dropped by 2nd exam. Does not utilize class time efficiently as other professors do, in my experience.

Could not get this instructor to reply to questions or concerns and when I confronted him he brushed it off as not important. He's very knowledgeable and passionate about Finance but can care less about if your learning. Not everyone can teach and he fits the category. He's probably tenured and can care less. AVOID IF POSSIBLE!

I thought he was helpful and interesting. His exams are hard but he grades on a steep curve. He wants you to succeed and learn the material. He offered extra classes on weekends to help answer any questions. Overall, he's tough but you will learn the material if you take the time to understand the problems.

This is the first time I've rated a professor on here. He admitted after the first test that it was really hard. He doesn't give you enough time for quizzes or tests. There is a curve but after everyone drops after the first test, it doesn't help much on the subsequent tests. STAY AWAY

This professor did not follow the syllabus whatsoever. It was clear that he had nothing invested in his students success. I went to him for help and it wasn't there. If you're lucky enough to get a response from him via email, don't expect it for at least 3 days. He shows zero compassion, nor concern. He is average as a lecturer. STAY AWAY

I'm not sure how this professor conducts his class at NEIU but at Roosevelt (RU) he sucked.We are given a book to follow for the course and he doesn?t even take time out to familiarize himself with the chapters.The professor isn?t competent to even teach the topic? This class was conducted mostly via teleconference & his teaching style was terrible

Dr. Rezvanian is one of the finest professors at NEIU. His knowledge in the area of Finance is first rate. Tough and uncompromising, his teaching style prepared me for future success in MBA program.This Professor is for serious students ONLY!

Rizawanian is really good prof. if you willing to work hard. if u do the homework you'll be fine in exam. this class need little practice i got an A and i think he is the best professor at NEIU
