Comment:

Mrs. Broome is a pretty solid teacher and the class was overall a solid 3.5 to 4 based on the week. You can't try to fit it all on the night its due. She has solid lecture videos and you'll need to watch them and they explain most of the types of problems you'll face. The checkpoints I did were super time consuming but there's only 4 and the final.

Mrs. Broome is great. Her class does have a good amount of homework, but if you watch the lecture videos, she will take you step by step through your homework problems! Stats is not an easy class but Mrs Broome will go above and beyond to help you succeed! She has live Q&A sessions and is easily accessible.

Be prepared to spend more time in this class than any other class you've taken. She must think this is the only class youre taking in the semester because the amount of work she expects you to do is insane. Between the extensive homework assignments, projects and hours of lectures dont count on spending time on other courses you may be taking.

If you choose to take this class just be prepared to spend tons of your time of homework. This was probably the hardest class I've taken at this college. I've never had a problem with math until this class. Your basically on your own. The exam counts for too much for something that is not even taught.

This class was extremely difficult and I could not get any help from Tonia Broome. The work was hard and she could not communicate clearly. Teaching is a line of work not suited for her. If you have any weakness in math, do not take her classes.

Mrs. Broome's online stats course was laid out in such a way that there was no confusion as to what was due and when. Never had a worry that I was missing something. Her webinar lectures were helpful. Her explanations were clear. I highly recommend taking her online stats course. Book was used about 1/4 of the time.

Ms. Tonia was great. I really enjoyed her class, and it was definitely the easiest class I've taken so far. She assigned homework that was a little time consuming, but they had the same questions as the section tests and final exam, so they were good for preparation. Also, she allowed 5 points of extra credit and even dropped a few low grades.

I had to take this class twice before passing it. It was terrible she would assign at least 5 to six hours of homework. I took a test that i started at 8am finished at 9pm with no break. I finally cheated with the help of a stats tutor and passed. It took him 3 hours to one test. Class is not difficult she makes it that way.

I have been attending Gaston for a year now and will be graduating this fall. After saying that, avoid this place like the plague. I usually tell my friends its 1/3 the education at 1/2 the cost of a university but it is pitiful how bad these instructors are, especially her. Her final counts as 20% of your final grade! Expect 5+ hours on homework!

This was the hardest class I have ever taken online. If the tests and homework were timed, I wouldn't have finished. I spend at least 5-6 hours on homework ALONE. The tests are basically the same as the homework so they take just as long. She doesn't go over everything that is on the homework.

Loved Mrs. Broome! She is so helpful and is willing to help and explain things ANY time you need her to. I took her online class and was worried about taking Math online. DO NOT FRET! She is constantly having online sessions to help explain the material and has a great personality. This is one of my favorite teachers!
