I took him for a seminar class ANT3933. Very flexible and caring man who wants to help you more than just see you pass. My class was derailed by the Covid-19 quarantine and he was extremely understanding to students who were essential workers. Our class was mainly discussion based and the open atmosphere created many connections within the class.

Took Ron online. Discussion board every week (easy). The tests were a bear. Awful. So hard. I took them with other people in the class and it was still difficult to pass, however, you do get 2 attempts (which saves you). Tests are only 17 ?'s, just very difficult. Also a term paper, on a movie, it was just a silly class. 1-10 scale, I give him a 5.

This class is overall not bad. Lectures are immensely boring because of the professor's tendency to ramble on about nothing in particular. The lectures are very rarely on topic. Attendance is mandatory, so you will have to show up and try to force yourself to pay attention. There were no grades submitted until the last day of class.

Do Not take this professor! Just an all around horrible class and professor. Tests are tricky and they do not reflect the overwhelming amount of notes/power points, videos, articles, and books assigned. I was interested in the topic before I enrolled in the course, now I wish I never took the course.

This is the worst teacher I have ever had. Has no clue how to set up a class. My online classes syllabus was for his in-school class.....useless. Does not communicate with his students ever. I took an online course and received 3 emails all semester. Avoid at all costs!!!!

A great class to get introduced to anthropology and a fantastic professor who seems very passionate about what he does. Extremely funny, very knowledgeable, and very generous in his grading. Frequent quizzes from the book. Lectures always enjoyable.

The professor is very enthusiastic about his class & tries his best to kept the class interested. I had trouble getting a hold of him outside of class but he'll stay to answer questions & help. Exams are online & the questions come from the weekly quizzes and a few from lecture topics. I recommend him even though I was interested in anthropology.

Ron is one of the best. If you're intelligent, contribute to the conversation, and read the text book, there's no way you can do poorly. He is extremely understanding and flexible despite his hard-ass demeanor. I have taken him multiple times and highly recommend him.

Good professor. You have to read a lot but the whole class is a big discussion about the readings. Keeps class interesting with lots of videos. Daily questions to turn in, 2 online exams, and a reflection paper. Grades fairly. Easy teacher who knows his stuff. Read books and you'll be fine.
