This is THE BEST professor at NWFSC hands down! I took her for Human Growth and Development as well as Psychology. She is AMAZING and helps you understand things very well! Make sure to read your chapters and you are sure to pass!

Dr. Strickland is an amazing professor! I took her for intro to psychology and it has been one of my favorite classes at NWFSC. Dr. Strickland is super funny and makes the class really interesting! Definitely recommend taking her!

I took hum. growth & dev. fall 2017. She let us have a 3 by 5 notecard on each of the 5 quizzes. For each quiz she read the specific topic of each question the day b4. the book is online and there are 18 chapters each with a module u must complete 4 participation . the final is online & easy. Final grade parts: modules30%, quizzes50%, final20%.

Professor Strickland is a decent teacher. She is very hands off so do not expect to hear from her or talk to her much if at all. she lays out all assignments and due dates in syllabus and then nothing but reading on your own and self directed practice modules. I still felt like I learned something but only because of all of the reading not teaching

Be ready to read. Every week there is a large chapter to complete and after every 3, she gives you a quiz. She gives you a list of things to focus on that MAY be on the quiz, but usually, they aren't. You'll spend time studying definitions and disorders for the quizzes to not match up. The quizzes are all of your grade. She also falls behind occas.

One of my favorite lecture classes I've ever taken! She makes the class very relatable and fun to be in. I thought the tests were rather hard despite what everyone else says, they ask questions from the book not just the lecture so be sure to actually get the book unlike I did.

She is very helpful and her lectures are interesting. Her tests can be tricky. I had her for Intro to Psych and many questions on the test are applied, like scenarios. If you want to do very well (A+), you should take additional notes from the textbook, and not rely only on the notes you scribble down from her lectures.

Hands down the best teacher you will most likely ever have! She says exactly everything you want to hear and is very good at getting you into the subject and keeping your attention. We had maybe 5 homework assignment that were 3-5 questions each, and all test and the final were even posted online. Never even had to open my book. #EasiestAEver!!!
