Dr. Melcher is a sweet lady. Took her for an online theology class and it really allowed me to gain access to theology in a new light. I appreciated the course and her as a person. Only thing I would have liked differently is if she opened modules up earlier.

Comment:

This class was also split with PHIL 315 with Steven Frankel as the Professor. She gave a take home midterm and final, 4 questions and 2 pages double-spaced each. She is very nice and approachable, you go over Biblical texts about the sites in the Holy Land, and also the archaeology of the Holy Land. Frankel he gave two four-pg papers for 2 books.

Sarah Melcher didn't give up on me even when I'd well passed the point that most professors would have said, "Tough luck, kid." Be good to her, because she really will try to help you the best she can. Loooong papers for her, but she gives you a lot of lenience with them. Take her class! Sweetest lady.

Dr. Melcher is so sweet and helpful and takes a genuine interest in her students. Her class offered some perspectives on theology that i had never heard before. She was also awesome because she allowed 5 missed classes and 7 free "grace days" to use to turn assignments in late

Boring, but friendly. Good for an easy A. FOUR 8-10 page papers (2 of which are take-home exams), but grades them softly, little feedback. Tons of reading, much of which isn't discussed in class: you can skip a lot since you have a choice of questions on the exams. Grades participation softly. Might not remind you when a long-term assignment's due.

melcher is amazing--definitely one of my favorite at xu. extremely nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. she lectures every class, which you either like or hate, but tries to make it interesting. very positive and wants her students to succeed. definitely take melcher--shes the best.

Dr. Melcher's Theo 111 was one of the few honors classes I actually took at Xavier and it had to have been one of the easiest classes I've taken. It's kind of boring, but Dr. Melcher is SO sweet and SO nice and she really does know her stuff. Highly recommend her to everyone.

Easiest class ever! Like 60% of your grade is reflection papers , and you get an A for writing your opinions (I got an A every time). Some interesting topics but most of the lectures are tough to stay awake for. There is a reflection paper every week, but no tests, the finals were take home. If you have to decide which prof. to take, take her!

Nice lady who will always work with students. Really boring though if you're not interested in THEO. If you take it over the summer be ready for some painful long classes - you won't get out early. Easy A though, so I don't mind.

Great professor! She is so nice and wants to know you. Class is extremely easy, I never read any of the books and still got As on everything! Assigns reflection papers often: They're easy (2 pages max) and as long as you write about what you feel, she'll give you an A. Take above all others!

Dr. Melcher is a really great teacher. She is really nice and very passionate about the subject. She assigns quite a few reflection papers that she grades extremely easily. Her midterm and final are take home essays, and are on topics that are covered in class.

Dr. Melcher is great! She's SO sweet and extremely understanding. The course material can be a bit boring at times and the papers can get long but she is an extremely fair grader and understands you are novices when it comes to analyzing. She cancelled class fairly often. Gave take-home exams which were tedious but not hard. Take her class!

Very easy, although you have to write 4 8-10 page papers, but she gives you A's on all of them!! She is also very thrilled about the subject she teaches! I recommend her.
