It was a really great class. If you have experience with coding in java it's a great review before 220. It's definitely way easier than 220 as well. If you do the work and go to lab it's pretty easy, but study for the tests as well because the tests are what got me a B+ instead of an A.

Comment:

Ms. Brenneman is a true gem in the Comp Science department. Her and Dr. Pittges co-teach the class and both are excellent. Beware, however; THIS CLASS IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. Seriously I was putting in an extra 4 -6 hours outside class per week to be successful. It is not an easy A at all, you've been warned.

Amazing teacher. I went in knowing no coding and picked up on it fast. The tests were challenging and fun and the lectures weren't boring. It's a very tough class with a high fail rate only about 40% pass if that.

Ms. Brenneman is an awesome teacher. If you skip a lot you will not pass. With this class comes a very heavy workload. Mostly 3 labs a week, 2 reading quizzes a week, and homework due every Sunday. Pay attention and ask for help and you will pass. Very hard to pull your grade back up. Has a very high WDF rate and you can only take this class twice.

Common people, any body can pass this class. Just study the book and do the review questions at the end of each chapter and the programming exercises. She is a very good instructor and knows her Java. the class gets hard about the 2nd half of the semester, but just get as much help as u can, and ull do fine. shame she won't teach 220. :(

this class is iight, she plays favorites thats sum10 u have to worry about... just get on her good side or she wont help u out at all, she will just tell u to read from the book. But the class is pretty easy/hard, im sayin that because u kinda have to teach urself. The lecture sessions are bogus because she dont teach u nothin.

She's awesome. The class is really interesting and when you go in lab, you just have to think about it for a little bit. You're allowed to turn in the labs the next lab day and of course you get help from the teacher aids. I barely asked them since I think the class is easy as hell and I've never taken another Java class in my life. The Quizzes/Tests are a sinch too.

Dont a very good teacher, pretty much teaches right out the book so in others word going to here non lab classes are a waste.
