If you are jewish: this is the easiest class of your life (think to yourself, what are my ethics? and you'll get an A) Everyone else: you'll probably think he mentions things in passing with no explanation because you did not learn these things in hebrew school- take another class- maybe one with Dewey?

Glazer's class seems easy on the surface, but it is actually sort of difficult to get an A. He grades pretty hard on the tests and the majority of our grade is a class presentation, and he never tells you how you did. Also, if you ask how you did, he gets angry because he thinks students should be more concerned with learning than with grades.

I loved this class. Glazer was so interesting, and I found him to be really helpful outside of class. If you pay attention in class you can figure out what he will put on the exams.

Easy class?Yeah,right.This guy will mention something in class in passing and expect you to be able to write a doctoral dissertation about it on his exam.Doesn't give explanations for his markoffs,either.I had to google any term that he happened to mention in class-they weren't in the readings, they weren't clarified in lecture.Ridiculous, unclear.

Rabbi Steve is a great guy and an easy prof. You teach one class with a partner, the final is open notes, and all that's left is a midterm and a paper. Good in-class discussions too.
