Comment:

People who don't like Dr. Sue are the kind of people who go into biology and realize that it's not for idiots who want to drink all weekend. Her tests are quite easy if you actually pay attention and care. If you don't, be warned; you will fail these classes. The tests don't count on you sorta knowing the material, you have to KNOW it.

Comment:

I had Dr. Sue for 1700, and it was really hard, so needless to say I was nervous about taking another class with her. However, I love 2050. She keeps it so interesting with her funny comments and witty banter. The tests are easy and because she gives frequent quizzes, it's easy to get points in that class. I love Dr. Sue and I'm going to miss her!!

For a non-major class that I elected to take because I thought it'd be interesting, it's awful. There are an enormous amount of slides and excess info with too detailed test and quiz questions. She's not very nice either.

I LOVE Dr. Sue!! She's definitely a professor that cares a lot about her students and loves teaching. Even though the lecture was at 8am, she tried to make it as fun as possible. She's hilarious. The class and tests are VERY hard and you NEED to study a lot. I know for a fact the class is curved but it's on an individual basis.

Dr. Sue was great. She is a really good teacher, and she makes class interesting. She is hilarious. She really cares about biology, which makes the class even more interesting. It is possible to do well in this class. If you actually read the book and study her outlines, you will have the knowledge to do well on her tests. You do need to study.

Yes she knows the material and is obviosuly enthusiastic about teaching the class, but the homework and the stuff we go over in class is non existent on the exams. She is immature, all she talks about is 8=D and ({}). Its ridiculous. Very Very nice lady, bad professor.

Her exam review was pretty much pointless and the exams were very hard. Homework is pretty much pointless since it counts for less than 20 percent of your grade. She gave one quiz the whole quarter and 3 exams, so if you did poorly on an exam you're screwed. I have to retake this class and am doing everything I can to avoid getting her.

Its clear that Dr. Sue loves biology and knows what she's talking about, but she was not a good Professor. She cracked jokes randomly that were either inappropriate or dumb. Her test were very difficult and most of the material wasnt in the notes. When I went to get help from her all she did was tell me to read her guide on studying. HORRIBLE

Dr. Sue has obvious passion for her subject and encourages class participation. She always joked around even during 9 ams when half the class was missing and the other half were nearly passed out

She is a very difficult teacher. If you are not one of her select favorites, then she does not like to talk to you or help you outside of class. Her tests are very difficult and completely different from what you learn in class. I strongly reccomend taking this class with a different teacher.

She knows what she is talking about when it comes to Biology. But I really did not like her. I think she is kind of rude and she always says to come to her office but she isn't of much help. She truly expects you to eat, breath, and sleep biology and if you're not doing that then she doesn't really care.
