Comment:

Love this woman. She is very passionate and informed on what she teaches. She grades the papers a little tough, but the class is worth it. The exams are easy, especially with the study guides she gives you. The final project takes some time, but it's really fun. Only homework is essentially reading the plays, which are usually enjoyable as well.

Comment:

She's a sweet woman who knows what she's talking about. She's pretty clear but sometimes changes her mind. Overall, SuApps is a decent teacher who truly wants you to pass.

Comment:

Susan is a great professor who is extremely knowledgeable in her field, and is very respected because of that. Her tests are very specific, and she can be pretty tough when it comes to grading papers. Show up to class, take notes, do the reading and PARTICIPATE. She doesn't play favorites but you can tell she appreciates the students that speak up.

She seems nice and she is clear when explaining, but she picks favorites and if she doesn't like you, you will have a really hard time with every single paper and presentation. If you are not one of her favorites, either drop the class or be prepared to get an A in every single test, because that is the only thing you can rely on.

On the whole, this class was very easy and quite enjoyable. She did absolutely nothing for my writing, and I found myself writing in a very specific style in order to please her taste. We had very interesting discussions in her class based on the plays we read, however, and she was a very engaging professor.

Susan not only the best teacher in the theatre dep, but lUC as a whole.well structured and well presented. always there and was very understanding of students' individual needs goals and grading were clear, with no need of questioning. I never thought I would enjoy a course I only took because it was the only 1 that fit in my schedule.

Shes hot and jewish and soooo funny. The work is demanding but she is so much better than that Shanahan. If you have ideas that are out there, she helps you to mold them like a scholar. You should take this class if you get the chance!

I really don't like Theatre Hist but Applebaum made it pretty interesting.She is so helpful and all she wants you to do is think.I would take any class that she taught because she tries to make it as fun as possible. Sometimes she gives confusing directions, but she is such a sweetheart and smart.

Okay, the class is really boring and you have to turn in these response cards everday which get really annoying. But really it's not hard as long as you can stay awake. I don't even take notes. She's also the theatre writing tutor so write well.
