Comment:

Rude and highly opinionated. If she doesn't personally agree with you, you're wrong. She threatened to kick me out of class for saying that sometimes third-wave feminism is too aggressive. I got the highest grade the semester I took it, and I only got a B. It's the only B I've had in college and I really feel I deserved better. Very harsh and rude.

Comment:

Professor Strom held lectures about interesting topics. She appreciates participation. Had to work very hard in this class. Make sure to do readings because of pop quizzes and she cold-calls. You get what you give, she does not hand out A's (makes it very clear). Very big on word-choice, don't use complicated words. I enjoyed how blunt she was.

So she is the worst professor I have ever had!Please don't take her, she swears by the rule that you will never get an A. And your efforts don't matter in her class because you will most likely end up with a C. And also, her handwriting is horrific and there will be a lot of trouble trying to understand it. BEWARE!AND ESCAPE!

Strom will make you work for it. She is a very tough grader. Personally, I do not enjoy her teaching. Her class was solely based on her beliefs. It was as if I was taking a class about her instead of learning how to write. She is also very degrading towards students. She is very vague and hard to deal with. I would choose another professor.

Professor Strom was great. She isn't the warmest person, but as long as you are respectful she will respect you back. There was a lot of reading for this course which was expected. I put a decent amount of effort into my work but nothing too bad and I ended with an A-. She welcomes her students to come to her for help.

Don't take her please!!! She only grades off her writing style so she will cross out a word she personally doesn't like even though there is nothing wrong with it. She is an awful person and never gives A's so therefore she doesn't wanna see you succeed. Please save yourself and switch professor to get yourself out of this mess.

For starters, Professor Strom is a ridiculous grader, meaning she takes off points for anything and everything. She prides herself on not giving A's and ridicules you for not having an absolutely perfect paper. I would not recommend taking Professor Strom unless you absolutely have to.

She is an AMAZING professor. She wants all of her students to succeed. Reading is a must since she gives pop quizzes. Participate, go to office hours, and see a tutor if you need extra help. She keeps track of that. Try not to miss class. She is extremely approachable and wants to help.

Professor Strom will NOT spoon feed you information. Her classes were challenging to me because I am not the best writer but, she was able to help me improve each semester. She is a pretty tough grader and she will administer pop quizzes throughout the semester to test if you actually did the assigned reading.

She's hard, tough grader, and a bit intimidating. She's also kind of degrading on her students and hates cell phones and will call you out in class so you can participate. However, if you put in the work, get a tutor, or go to her office hours, you should be fine. Maybe pass with a C. �� I did not like her at all overall though.

Professor Strom is generally a tough grader, takes a LOT of points off if you dont do the citations right. Always switches your word choice with another word she prefers even though it means the same thing. She gives at least 3 pop quizzes on the reading she assigns so always do the reading in case. Doesnt really joke much, pretty straightforward

She was a good teacher but overall it was a tough class. She's very straightforward and stern. Doesn't joke around too much. The more you participate the easier it is. Always read what's assigned because she'll make you pay if you don't.

Generally, greatly disliked this class. Prof. Strom is a ridiculously tough grader, and is honestly a rude person in general. Highly recommend avoiding, I wish I did.

Dr. Strom is the best of her kind! She is very passionate about making sure everyone in class understands whats going on. She goes out of her way to give you one-on-one feedback which saves your semester. While she might be a tough grader, it's worth it b/c you learn a lot at the end of the semester! Class act and has all my respect.

Learned so much in this class. Strom is a tough grader, but if you need help, she is more than willing to sit down with you and go over the assignment. One of my favorite professors so far. The class is extremely worth it and I would take it again. Your writing will seriously improve!

Honestly, best professor in her department. She focuses on work improvement rather than grades. She dedicatest every minute of her class time making sure the student understands the lesson and knows how to apply it in writting. Sure it is alot of work at first, but the knowledge you get out of it is worth it.

Professor Strom's class is very informative and interesting. She is a tough grader and expects a lot from her students. You should expect a lot of reading and an essay due every two weeks. She makes time for her students to discuss assignments and gives a great amount of time for students to seek help.
