Comment:

I'm in my 4th year and this is the worst prof I've had. His teaching is all over the place and he goes off topic often. Tests are marked unfairly as he rounds up and down my multiple percents and marks something on the test correctly that was marred wrong on the homework (and vice versa). Take with another prof. I am an AA+ student for reference.

Nice guy that seems to really want to educate his students. Can be confusing at times in terms of requirements. Hard marker on essays. Overall, I would take this course with him again. Just watch out for his guidelines, and be sure to follow it precisely.

Loved this prof and this course! Opened my eyes to a lot! Love the material, love his experience and I love his conspiracy theories! The type of prof you want to have a beer with and pick his brain on current issues. Heads up, you must attend class all the time because he teaches some things not found in the text

The tests are hard, make sure you study and go and see him for extra help. He wrote the text book for this class, so it follows it quite well, but you do also have to attend class as a few lessons aren't in the book. He appreciates a student who makes the effort, and the essay for this class was interesting. I worked hard and got an A.

Brilliant professor. If you don't care about the subject, nor do you care about putting in a fair amount of work, don't take his class. He asks for quality not quantity, and appreciates a student who is genuinely interested and trying to learn. Very helpful as long as you ask, he can't read your mind, y'all. Great guy overall.

It's too bad because I actually really like the content of the class but sadly the teacher ruined it for me, I studied for a long time for the test and still did bad because all of the questions where trick questions or stuff we spent 3 minutes on in class. it was almost like he wanted the class to fail.

Great prof with a keen interest to see students grasp the concepts he is teaching. VERY specific guidelines are given around assignments and they MUST be followed in order to get an acceptable mark (B+ or higher). Tests are out of the textbook and from examples given in lectures.Teaches extremely thoroughly- but def ask questions if you're lost!

Extremely important that you attend his lectures. He's a very straight forward and intelligent professor, one of my favourites in my university career. Emphasizes a no BS course with critical thinking, what more do you want? Just do the txt book readings and work hard on your essays and you will get an A.

His lectures are boring and drawn-out. Sometimes his examples sound stupid or like they are written by a 10 year old - but because he is a teacher from a community college, he teaches in a step-by-step way that is more accommodating & understandable for first year students and ESL students.

One of the best profs I've had. He really makes you think, isn't afraid to "go there" and has some really interesting beliefs himself. You MUST attend class, you MUST do the homework. If you do, you will succeed. I finished with an A+, but not because it was an easy class. I had to work for it. Brilliant teacher.

Excellent professor! This is the type of prof that gets you thinking, and looking at the world differently whether you agree with his views or not. You MUST attend class and do readings/hw to succeed. This is not an easy fluff class. I really enjoyed his lectures. A brilliant prof with some really interesting ideas and opinions.

Had him last year. He really thinks he's smarter than he is - don't let him fool you. Confusing. Boring. Loves the sound of his own voice. Yes, he's a nice guy - but who cares?! He can't teach! If you're stuck with him, just do what he says EXACTLY as he says it - ironic for a critical thinking prof. Free-thinkers be warned.
