He's a nice dude and doesn't want you to fail. But his lectures are dry, it's really hard to stay awake. He provides the ppts and practice tests so there's really no reason you shouldn't get a 20/20 on each test except for just not trying at all. Also, his ppts are the book verbatim except he takes out the unnecessary stuff. You don't need the book

This guy is somewhat hard to understand but that is pretty much it. You are based on a 100 point system with 5 tests and 5 HW's. He will drop your lowest midterm score. All powerpoints are online so if you don't feel like going to class it wouldn't kill you. Saying that the examples in class are strong because this guy knows his stuff.

This class was so hard. He is not clear on what is on the test. I was very confused throughout the whole semester. Four homework four tests and a final. Homeworks do not count as grade, so tests are the only factor. Would not recommend.

He has a strong accent, and his classes are all lectures with power point slides. He is very intelligent and explains basic ECON very well, but his lectures can be extremely boring. Grade is based only off test, but the final isn't cumulative. His test are all multiple choice.

If you can will yourself to show up to class every period you shouldn't have a problem getting a A-. That's harder than it sounds with this dry of an instructor, though

He was a good professor, but his tests were hard (5 tests drops the lowest one). Attendance isnt manadory, but it was helpful coming to class. Make sure to study everyday so you know the concepts that he teaches, because the tests and homework are mainly analyzing and applying what you learned (very few times when he asked for definitions).

Good guy, want students to learn. People who struggle do not speak with the professor to help clarify topics. Also people who do not do well tend to miss classes. He is very straight forward and if you follow his course step by step. Play the game guys.

Professor Gyapong is sincere and a good lecturer. His powerpoints are very helpful to study from for the exams. HW and practice exams are provided to help students study. Overall, I had a great experience in his class. I would recommend him as a professor to anyone taking Econ 104.

While attendance isn't mandatory, going to class really helps clarify the material. The material taught is somewhat difficult to understand, but paying attention in class and reading the textbook help tremendously. If you want an A in the class, do the extra credit homework, easiest 25 points you'll receive in a 300 lvl ECON course.

Some people think they can learn the material off his online slides without going to his class. Check again. Gyapong is a sincere professor who truly cares about his subject. He explains clearly in class by using examples. Others often come up with the excuse that he has an "accent." Check again. This class is easy and requires effort.

DID NOT GIVE PRACTICE QUIZES LIKE ECON 004. TESTS ARE HARD. 2 TESTS. THE FINAL IS NOT COMPREHENSIVE. 4 PG PAPER AT END OF SEMESTER EASY. BORING WHEN LECTURING. HARD TO UNDERSTAND.
