If you're thinking of taking this class, find a different one. This professor is not worth it. He takes off points if you don't follow the format he prefers without telling you what he wants until after he grades your assignment. There are 5 assignments total and no opportunity to make up any points. I would never recommend his class to anyone.

The professors professional abilities are garbage. His teaching style is lazy and his communication skills are incompetent. He does not convey course material clearly at all.

I have never gone on this site to rate a professor but I felt strongly about warning anyone I can on this one. Avoid at all costs. It's almost as if he wants students to do poorly.

He is not easy to get into contact with. Not clear on what exactly he wants in his papers, and papers are the only grades in this class. If you are not good at writing them then I would not recommend this class. One of the harder online classes I've taken.

I took this class online thinking it would be fairly easy. My friends are all in online marketing with a different instructor and it is insane how much easier their class is. These online exams are over 100 questions over a lot of material. I am always rushing to complete them on time.

Literally the rudest professor I've ever had. Assignments online are so unclear. My first report I got back, he attached a document to my grade on Blackboard that was titled, "better version of yours." The whole online course is writing long, tedious papers. Take this class with a different professor unless you want to hate your life all semester.

One of the worst professors I've had at OU. Is not helpful if you ask questions and only gets mad and acts like you are not paying attention. His exams are 2 hours and a question a minute so they are nearly impossible to get an A on. I'm a straight A student and this class is killing me. Utilize every extra credit he gives... You'll need it.

This professor gives 120 question test and you have 2 hours to complete them. They are impossible to complete in time if you take time to reread the question, you can never go back to a previous question and the study guide has nothing to do with the questions that are being asked. I was told 3 different textbook editions and he only uses the 12th.

He gives you tests which are almost impossible to pass because there are 120 questions for 120 minutes and you can't go back once you've done a question. Very hard to get a good grade. I get A's in all my classes but couldn't in this class.

The rudest professor I have ever had at OU. Emails are unclear and vague and won't help you at all. His grading scale is the most confusing thing to figure out and when you ask him for help he makes you feel stupid and doesn't bother to answer your question. Avoid him......

Worst teacher at Ohio University. Do not take MKT 2020 online with him if you can help it. He is terrible. His papers are dumb and the questions are unclear, then when he grades it he says you didn't answer questions that weren't even listed in the original question. His tests are so hard and you pretty much have to have the book memorized.

Horrible Professor. Do NOT take this class online if you can help it. He is rude when responding to emails and good luck trying to communicate with him. The exams are so difficult unless you have memorized the entire textbook. Good luck if you have him!

I had to take this class online and it was difficult. No direction, he uploads all of the PPT and assignments to have on the first day and then you are on your own. Doesn't have an office on campus anymore so difficult to meet, although willing to talk to you over the phone. I needed this class as well as MKT 4550 which I am in now. Ugh!!

Ohio University business school students have trouble with basic percentages and fractions. So I am not surprised they find him "difficult".

Comment:

Gupta is awesome. He has a hilariously dry sense of humor, and he will make you laugh at least once a class. The class isn't easy, and its obvious he is sick of students who take it expecting to get an A. Just make sure to spend time studying for chapter quizzes because they make the difference between a B and a C (no one gets an A).
