I took her for both CJ 2303 and CJ 2302. She is very organized when it comes to the syllabus and if there are any changes, she will let you know in advance. If you keep up with the syllabus, which give you all the dates for the test (gives study guide) & assignments you should be fine.

Easy A! All 4 test are based on her reviews (make sure to answer every question) and 2 easy writing assignments. Professor B gives more than enough time to prepare for both too. This class is easy and interesting! Take her!

Comment:

I have taken Professor Belbot for two classes online. She is clear on what she is expecting and when assignments are due. Only draw back is that her test are open for 24 hours and does not allow make ups. If you follow the syllabus then you will be okay. All assignments are open until due date but test are open on certain days. Read your book!

It really isn't that hard, just show up to class for the attendance, be sure to turn things in on time, and her test come straight from the study guide for the most part. I missed two assignments in the first week because I was in the hospital and she wouldn't let me turn them in so I might fail the course because of that.

Shes the worse professor. If you dont turn in a paper when its due she wont accept it at all. She talks too much, she doesnt like when students use the restroom while shes explaining the lecture. I didnt learned anything.

Belbot is well-rounded in the sense that she knows what she's talking about. But, she talks to a point that students will lose interest. She likes talking, a lot. Tough grader in a sense, that she will accept a "not so thought out" paper and give it an 88 but will slap a 60 on a very well thought out paper (said so the writing center).

The course load is insane. It's like she thinks we're only taking her class. Unfortunately, I've had her twice and I regret it. I had no choice because of my schedule requirements. I have kids and could only take classes at specific times. She was NOT understanding at all when my kids were sick.

Good professor, only complaint is about her lectures. She does very brief (sometimes repetitive) overviews of chapters, and lectures about stuff not on exams (TX MPC). OK course load, 8 chapter assignments, & 4 exams. Pretty understanding, and has a bit of sense of humor. Would recommend.

Great professor! She is a professor who is truly passionate about her job and has the utmost knowledge in her field. I would recommend her for an CJ class at UHD.

She does a great job at explaining everything that when it's time to look over the study guide, you'll already know mostly everything. Tests come straight from the study guide. Assignments are fairly, so easy as long as you follow the directions you should receive an "A". Funny & understanding. Interesting material.

Great professor but upholds the departments standards for "not" checking emails. Highly disappointed that she would not respond to one of my "reference checks." Basically had to go to her office and tell my hiring manger to call so that I could tell her pick up the phone. WOULD NOT HAVE GO DONE OTHERWISE.

Dr. Belbot is one of the sweetest professors ever. She is very good at explaining the lectures. She goes by a power point but pauses to expand and give you a real life example. Lecture are super easy to memorize due to the way she explains everything. Expect about 4 exams and 2 essays. If you study at least an hour for her exams, you can make an A

If you want an easy A then go ahead and take her, but you will be bored to death everytime you take her class since she just never stops talking, also she never stops telling you stuff about the cell phones and laptops(supposedly she was going to stop letting people bring laptops this semester coming up) so yeah she gives you a tutor to help you

Department Chair of CJ- Refuses to have individual on 504-ADA. Graduate school has issues allowing individual like this into their program and if push will allow you in but,will lie to get you out by any means necessary mostly by given you a "F".

Community-Based Corrections online. I loved this class. Weekly discussions, a couple of short papers and three online tests. She gives reviews for tests.

Worst teacher to take. She think's that she is in law school or teaching law school students. She is all over the place during lecture and the most boring class you will ever take. Stay away from her classes.

Comment:

Took a hybrid class with her. She was all over the place at times, had problems posting things online, couldn't open powerpoints sometimes. We had to do weekly postings based on assign news articles, no papers, 2 test (online) and one final (in class). Test were a little difficult but everything came from the notes and books. Overall, good class.
