Worst professor I've ever taken. She is an absolute nightmare and I will not recommend taking her. She does care about her students, but very passive-aggressively.

Comment:

Dr. Nelles was a really good professor who loved to teach and was very helpful when I was lost in math. She does have a lot of quizzes and homework so that I would beware on unless you are good or are willing to try.

Probably the best math professor Ive ever had. Such an understanding and sweet woman. I would take her for the rest of my college math courses if I could.

Comment:

While her teaching wasn't the most spectacular, Dr. Nelles was a pretty good professor. She answers questions, gives students a chance to raise their grades, and even helps with the online stuff. However, she gives a LOT of homework, but that gives you a lot of grade opportunities. Simply email her a math problem and she'll help you solve it!

I love her. I failed a test and she made an appointment for me to go over what I did wrong on the test. She gives opportunity to fix your grade. Passionate about math. Would take again!

you have to do the labs, which she explains. sometimes her lectures don't make a lot of sense, but she will clarify and she REALLY wants everyone to pass so she will work with you and accepts late work.

Worst professor I have ever had. Terrible at explaining things Unorganized and doesn't make sense Homework on lab days weekends everyday over break and it's not even helpful homework. Tests are nothing like the problems she gives for review. She's very unhelpful and doesn't care. Please do not take her! Worst thing I have ever done.

Nelles was an atrocious teacher. Positively one of the worst I've ever had. She was not helpful, she was very judgmental of students who didn't understand the work. She hardly allowed questions in class and she didn't allow calculators to be used in a math course. Do not take this teacher.

I really enjoy her class. She teaches thing on "a students level". She LOVES questions and if you don't understand she will make sure you get it quickly. She uses different teaching techniques as well, which is something I really like. She also helps with the labs!! That is a huge plus! Highly recommend her for Math 101A!

Nelles is an awful professor! I highly doubt she has ever taken an education class and knows how to properly teach. Nelles will rip you apart and make you feel unintelligent. Good luck learning ANYTHING in this class. Dr. Nelles, which cereal box did you win your degree out of?

Although she never arrived on time, I actually enjoyed the class. Not hard as long as you do homework and turn in labs. She is corny and tries to be funny so it's funny to watch her teach, but I would recommend her class!

She is very confusing!i refer back to the textbook a bunch of times to try and understand what to do for the labs. She doesn't even teach what will be on the lab! She makes things way to complicated.How she teaches is really annoying as well, I'll be glad to pass this class and be done with her, she makes me so annoyed/mad.

She is the meanest most rood women I have ever met. I recieved a B but no thankd to her! She was so rood to my class and hatefull towards us all! Avoid this women at all costs! Specially if your an Athlete!!! I watched her rip into one of the nicest guys Ive ever met over a lab that he had to turn in due to traveling for an athletic event! DON'T!!!

I have taken two different math classes with her. She is VERY nice and understanding. However, her teaching is not so good. She confuses students a lot. Your better off teaching yourself out of the book or having someone else help you. She makes it a lot harder then it actually is. She just isn't good at teaching math.

Yikes! Nice woman but she makes the easiest problems much harder than they seem. You're better off reading straight from the textbook than learning from her. She's also very confusing and spacey, she forgets what she is doing often during course. Overall, try to avoid Dr. Nelles, take Banor or Hughes instead.

Dr. Nelles is intimidating at first, but she actually a really great person if you make the effort to communicate with her. She does lose papers, but eventually finds them. If you do what you're supposed to you'll be fine.
