I understand where the negative comments about Prof.Parker come from, but she is very helpful if you need help. If you read Shakespeare and listen in class, you will do fine. I liked her a lot!

worst teacher ever. if you dont interpret shakespeare the way she does, youre always wrong. her midterm and final is ridiculous. and even when i went for extra help, she made me feel like an idiot. I got an F in participation! really? really? and then when i tried to email her asking about my grade, she would never email me back. cold hearted!

You really need to go to every class or contact her. While she's very creative and really knows her stuff, she expects you to know it, too! Slightly vulgar for an older lady, but has a sense of humor. She follows the assignments that are on the syllabus, but not so much the reading. She spent about three weeks on each play.

Shakespeare! She's in her 70's and the only man in her life is Shakespeare...or King Henry V. She is extremely knowledgable. Take her if you like or are interested in Shakespeare. She is a VERY rough grader of papers. Make sure what you hand in is 100% grammatically correct and spelled correctly. and follow the MLA guidelines or she'll eat you

WARNING!!! Do Not Take This Teacher! She is horrible, horrible, horrible. Although I did not fail this class, I feel that Dr. Parker is a horrible teacher. She might be dedicated to Shakespeare (maybe a little obsessed) and she is very knowledgeable in the subject, BUT she should not be a teacher! She lacks people skills!

I really do not recommend this professor at all!! Do WHATEVER you can to take a diff teacher. She's hard as h*ll. Her quizzes are every class and I didn't enjoy her class. I dropped it eventually b4 deadline, so she won't ruin my gpa. Everyone has a diff thing to say, but I'm WARNING you, take SOMEONE ELSE!!!!

Definately the best professor I've ever had at WPU; I had to work for my grade, but she's incredibly informed and actually educates her students. Will be honest, and brutally so (she decimated my rough draft!), but you will learn if you actually apply yourself. Do not take unless you want an actual education and are a hard worker.

Very unfair prof, did the reading and the work and got an okay grade on the midterm, but she failed me. Reading was hard to understand. Pop quizzes on readings pretty much every class. Knows a lot about Shakespeare and teaches it well. She expects 2 things: read the plays and come to class. She explains everything and goes over plays so they are understandable. Gives quizzes to see if you are reading but drops major hints that they are coming. If you do your part, you will do well and will leave knowing about Shakespeare.

I had Professor Parker for 3 courses, and always found her fair, brilliant and helpful. Although these were literature courses, she was one of the few professors who took the time to point out specific weaknesses in my writing and help me address them. Her high expectations brought out the best in me.

She may seem kind of cooky but she is a great professor. She gives you many chances to improve the papers she gives you. She actually helped me improve my writing.
