I took him for "Sociology of Work" and we didn't really do much. We had two papers based on the books he told us to buy at the beginning of the class. It was pretty easy and straightforward. In my opinion, this class is a good GPA booster and pretty chill.

Syllabus has no structure, no clear grading criteria, moves to the beat of his own drum, attendance is not mandatory, just get the books know the 2 or 3 papers and what to do and you will pass don't have to show up everyday just every once and a while, no homeworks, no pop quizzes, and bring laptop you will get bored very quickly, easy grader.

He's excellent & will open ur eyes in many things. His book The Jobless Future is a wonderful read & necessary for EVERY college students to examine the current social/cultural situations. He's serious about scholarship and should be taken seriously. His INTRO to SOC course textbook, Peter Berger's Invitation to SOC is an excellent intro text

While I do commend him on being able to come in and teach due to noticing certain disabilities on the first day, I don't approve of how he handed the final paper. he gave us a sheet that had vague information and only left a phone number for us to call. never communicates with his students through email. AVOID TAKING HIS CLASS!

Avoid taking him at all costs!! No structure in the class at all...He talks throughout the entire class about irrelevant things and does not encourage class discussion. A hyprocrite indeed..pretends to "care" about his students but really doesn't...extremely rude as well...RUN!!!

I took him for two classes and you basically don't need to come to class. Just hand in your papers and you're good. Like he said, if the papers okay and you just writing it based on his lecture the highest grade he will give you is a B. He definitely get side track a lot and talks about his lifetime in the 70s and his ex-gf and stuff.Save yourself!

DiFazio is one of those rare individuals who will leave a permanent impression on you, finding you one way and leaving you an altogether different person. He is so passionate about his work and a receptacle of all kinds of knowledge. To know him is to respect, treasure, and be in awe of him. What a man, what a man, what a man, what a mighty good ma

I think Difazio is miserable. It's as if he's still stuck in the 1970, but unwillingly placed in the 21st century. The man is absolutely crazy. He rarely stays on topic during class. If you want to get an A do not take him, the highest grade he will give is an A-

Took him over summer...we had 1 paper...got an A - He basically spends the majority of the class talking about how his generation helped make changes and ours just sits back and takes what's handed to us; we saw movies. Very intelligent and not a hard grader.

he has 2 tests for the whole semester and they are take home. He doesn't really believe in deadlines and won't minus points if your paper is late. he doesn't take attendance and doesn't really care if you come to class. even so, you should go, since i never went and freaked out at the end. overall easy and a funny great teacher.

All tests are take home. He doesn't hand them out until halfway in to the semester. All the work is crammed in to the end which is quite stressful. I learned A LOT and enjoyed the class. He also bears a resemblance to Karl Marx... and Santa Claus.
