Art projects & methods taught for K-5 art ed are outdated, uninspired, and not up to current Core education standards. The most organized and artistic person will have problems. Expectations are unclear. Lacks technical ability. Leave creativity and intelligence at the door, is a cut and paste class. Too bad it's required, needs an overhaul.

A+++ Extremely organized, great time mgmt. Clear, worthwhile goals and expectations. Inspires admiration. High expectations, will go to ends of earth to help you achieve, however: her time is in high demand. Very approachable. Sincerely enjoys her job. Good speaker. Great projects. Learning TONS. Cassandra is such an inspiring woman, who is NOT narrow minded. She appreciates unique minds, and she takes no bull smack.If you dont like her or cant handle the work than you should never ever be an art teacher...lazy people!Shes the most knowledgable in the dept. an the best prof. ever! Cassandra is hands down the best professor I have ever had. I can only dream that I can teach students half of what she has taught me. She gives interesting assignments and makes class time meaningful. She will work you hard, especially in 301 but I have learned sooooo much! If you want to learn how to be a great art teacher, take her classes!

Cassandra prepares you for the real teaching world. If it wasn't for her class and her being strict on lesson plans I would have never gotten a teaching job. I am glad she was tough on me. If she tells you to reconsider your major which she has told many people maybe you should.
