I can attest to the fact that she is caring and wants to help. However, it didn't matter because this class did not capture my attention enough to care. Classes consist of reading out of the online textbook and doing drills and are honestly not worth going to. She particular so if you want to color inside the lines and learn from the textbook...

Professor Grant was amazing, she is very understanding, and always available outside of office hours. If she knows you are working very hard, you get the grade you will be very happy with.

Comment:

Professor Grant was a fantastic teacher. Although she can come off as strict, she is flexible, easily accessible outside of class, and she is willing to put in time to make sure everyone in the class is doing the best they can. It is pretty homework heavy, and she focuses a lot on prnounciation. I would definitely take another class with her!

Charlene is a good teacher- she emphasizes grammar and pronunciation which is something that most lanauge professors dont do enough. on the other hand she comes across as very annoyed and easily frustrated when her students arent picking up on the language which can be really intimidating and not encouraging at all. she always has something to pick

Comment:

It was inspiring to learn about business in Spanish within different cultures. That being said, Prof. Grant was not very inspiring, and always taught right from the book. She was also not open to new ideas or answers that do not come from the book. She also cared too much on grammar and citations but less on contents, which I really didn't like.

Profesora Grant is such a kind human being! She's SO understanding and will go over anything you need her to if you ask. She also is a great teacher - I learned many many things in her class I never knew existed when I took high school Spanish, so even though I probably should have placed out of FS203, I'm so glad I didn't.

At first Grant seemed difficult and hard to work with but I quickly grew to like her. Although she is too concerned with grammar and not enough on vocabulary, Grant was always willing to spend time helping me. She has a wonderful sense of humor and offered plenty of extra credit. I learned a good deal from her. One thing though, no more Quia!

excellent teacher! extremely understanding and flexible with scheduling/hw. she demands a lot, but you'll learn a lot too. as semester gets going work load winds down a bit. highly recommended.

Really good teacher-- extremely helpful, understanding, and not too strict on assignments at all, but gives a good amount of work for a language. Seems hard at first but loosens up big time. Good, thorough class.

She's a pretty good teacher. I bombed the final and she gave me a decent grade anyways. She's really enthusiastic though, sometimes it's a little too much.
