if you take online, whole course is 4 papers, you don't learn much but if you follow his directions and are a decent writer, you'll pass. many students complained he graded unfairly, but you just have to follow his directions exactly and you'll be fine. he doesn't really lecture very much or well and assigns no homework. its an easy A tho.

Professor Strunk is a no nonsense old school professor. Just follow the guidelines he gives you and you'll get an A. I mean as a student you have to at least try to do the work and you'll be gucci!

Prof Strunk was a good teacher overall. 4 assignments total that make up the entire grade (at least for me during covid remote learning). His grading criteria was clear, but sometimes he was confusing. He really cares about marketing and wants to help students.

Mixed bag. Tests are all online and there's probably an hour of homework the entire quarter, but he is a little boring and his own lectures go slow. Bring your computer and don't expect to learn a ton and you'll love it. This is not the class for someone trying to become super knowledgeable, and this is coming from a marketing major.

I don't understand the positive reviews. He takes attendance but there's no reason to show up to class cause everything is in the book. he reads off the slides and talks about his experiances but they don't help with the tests and quizzes. He barely responds to emails so he's hard to reach out to. This class shouldn't be hard but is.

I took this as a 5 week course in the summer. He is very knowledgeable, lets you out early, and gives you a final exam online! Only 2 group projects, 1 group paper, an individual paper, and online final. Although this class was in the morning, he made sure you had fun and kept it really simple and easy. Everyone complaining about him is too lazy!!!

He does not make many of the assignments clear at all, leaving my group constantly trying to figure out what exactly he wanted. He also never fully explains the terms you have to use in every project/paper, so we were never sure if we were doing it right or not. He also only says what assignments are in class, so if you're not there then good luck

I love this guy. I skipped more than 50% of the classes and just had somebody sign me in. He puts you in a group that you will work with the whole quarter and luckily my group basically did everything for me. Other than group work, you have a short paper or two and then an online final. I hate school but this class was easy and he's a good dude.

Dan is awesome! I learned more than I have in any other Marketing classes, he gave good examples and went over what was to be expected for midterm, finals and projects. The group work wasnt as bad as some classes and the class went by fast, take him if you can! His stories from the industry are very cool, especially the converse ones!

I liked Prof. Strunk. He was passionate about marketing and gave tons of real world examples. The only thing I disliked was that he assigned groups and if you got stuck with a bad group, you couldnt do much about it. Other than that, the projects were easy and the final was take-home. I will never forget how to write a positioning statement!

A very laid back Professor who mainly reads off the slides. Tries to throw in real life examples to make certain subjects interesting. But, sometimes marketing is just very dull and dry. Online midterm and final. Just quizlet it.

Caring professor. He seems to have a no man left behind policy. Mainly uses the eText for the material covered. It can be dry at times to follow but it is great information. He brings in Sales representatives for companies like 3M, Groupon, and more. This makes class more engaging. Clear criteria. Mostly reading and lectures. Homework is simple.

Basically this class is all group projects. The good thing is that its essentially the same project over and over again - just different products. Even the final was the same as the project, just done alone and turned into D2L. He has pretty good lectures. Not a bad course, possible A if you do what he says (he repeats the main concepts a lot)

If you have any sales experience, this course will be easy for you, but a little boring. Very structured, use a lot of "tools" that sales companies use, role playing, presentations, etc.

Excellent teacher with a strong pedigree in brand management. Great sense of humor, would highly recommend Dan in whatever course he teaches. A take home final exam, and other than that it's all group project work. Classes were interesting as they mostly focused on consumer packaged goods which everyone can relate to.

The class was a bit disorganized at times but I ended up with an 'A' so I can't complain too much. Your team does store checks, 3 CatMan minutes, a final project; + a take-home final. Overall not too much work until the last week or two. All three of the category management classes were pretty chill with lots of guest lectures so I recommend them.

Gives clear instructions on all the assignments as well as walks you through all the steps to ensure you get a good grade. There were two marketing minutes and a case, which are extremely easy, and a take home final. Everything you need to pass his class are on his powerpoint slides. You would have to try very hard to get anything lower than a B

Good professor - very passionate about the subject matter. I'd take this class with him if you are in sales. It turned into too much of a Salesman 101 class. But it's an easy class and I did learn salesforce.com, which will add to my resume. Little homework, no assigned reading, as long as you can stomach a heavy sales focus, I'd take it.

Little to learn in this class. Seemed more appropriate for an undergrad class than an MBA course. Also material seemed about 10 years out of touch.
