A lot of material is covered and she never provides a study guide. Attendance isn't necessarily mandatory but going will definitely help you figure out what will be on the exam. She is hard to get a hold of for office hours but if you get your name out there and she likes you, she will most likely cut you a break on your final grade.

Comment:

Professor Lefkowitz is one of my favorite professors at Lehigh. My spanish improved tremendously in her class and she is always willing to meet with students. That being said she will on occasion impose her political views on the class, but not to the extent to affect the quality of her teaching.

Horrible. Idc how nice she is. all she does is speak english, talk about being a dead head in the '70s and give you meaningless assignments. the class isnt hard but you get tired of not being taught and having to go to class. **** her.

I have taken several classes with her and love her! She is often forgetful but give her a break. She loves what she does and really wants to help out any way she can. She brings up interesting topics to discuss in class and gives a ton of insightful information.

Absolutely false. She is the nicest person in the world. Just do what you're supposed to do-- how hard is it to go to the gym 3 times a week? She was the most awesome advisor ever. But I don't think they offer this seminar anymore.

I had Lefkowitz for a first year seminar which basically turned into a gym class. She was absentminded, knew nothing about what she was talking about, and would yell at us for no reason in emails. We also had no written grades, so we had no idea what our grades were based on. Bad teacher.

She hasn't even read the novels for decades and relies on her often forgetful memory to give quizzes every class using the wrong names and the wrong events. Somehow, the whole experience comes across hilarious. Doesn't wear a brassiere.
