Although Shores may seem unorganized and unclear, he assigns problems that actually make you think. He designs real-world engineering problems that don't always have a solution manual, so only true engineers will appreciate his teaching methods. He also brought Doughnuts&Bagels to our final, he can be compliant if you're reasonable...

Horrible, class. very unclear, made multiple mistakes each lecture, then was lost the rest of the time. Avoid this guy if you can, although I hear Frisbe isn't much better.

This professor refuses partial credit, however will fail you if you receive under 50%. This seems reasonable, however professor shores will mark problems wrong that are actually completely correct, then refuse to change the grade. Avoid at all costs and try to take this class with Professor Frisbee.

By looking at the rest of the ratings, it seems only me's and aero's have a problem with him. You're right, he probably doesn't care about you guys, your not in his dept. If you take an upper level class with him, he's a lot more likeable and caring.

This man should not be teaching at a university - a small community college is where he should be. He does not give a damn about students. During the final, he was laughing to himself because no one had finished after 3/4 of the time was up. He basically stopped teaching us b/c he didn't care.

Wasn't prepared for lecture. Did most examples wrong. Didn't discuss majorly unclear points in class. Office hours were a joke, he just checked the solutions manual. Likes to ridicule you for asking about "easy" things, yet can't seem to calculate the same thing himself. A real knob job!!
