If you have the opportunity to take Dr. Hamden for physics, do it. I am not good at physics at all and I still managed to pass physics II with a B. As long as you do the work and show you care hell work with you. Only down sides is the in class examples arent as difficult as the tests and he doesnt post grades regularly at least in my class.

Hands down top 3 of best professors in this school. Such a kind, funny and humble guy. He is a genius and actually cares and just wants you to succeed. He gives so much extra credit too and wrote the lab himself which is insane. I really thought I failed this class, but all the lab, homework grades with extra credit let me pass.

Dr. Hamden is a gentleman. He wrote the book. High grades means, do all your work, show up, participate, and get to know him. Know how to do your practice problems backwards. Taking advantage of extra credit he offers. Go to Tutoring. Formulas are no use memorizing if you don't know how to use them. He is affable and wants you to succeed.

Dr. Hamden is an incredibly sweet, soft spoken, man. Physics is naturally hard, but if you put in the time and effort, he will notice and will reward you! Make your face known to him on a first name basis and he will not forget you when he is calculating final grades. I received an A both in Physics 1 and Physics 2. He is incredible when you work!

I wasnt one of his favorites but he saw me putting in effort by going to tutoring and improving. Ended up with a great grade. Exams are like homework problems so if you can do those then u should be fine. If u do bad, its cus u rushed through homework, and r missing out on critical thinking skills u could gain (importan for health related fields!)

He really wants his students to get engaged and enjoy physics. Mad extra credit and tutoring available. Labs are taught by nice young new professors. There's really not a lot of formulas to memorize, and he eventually lets u use notecards. u'll do good IF u practice hw problems-UNDERSTAND how to solve them without memorizing or chegg by redoing

Dr. Hamden is an amazing professor, that really cares about his students. Physics is not easy, but his teaching style/approach made it manageable. He makes time outside of the classroom, and is always willing to help. I took him for College Physics II. I received an A in his class, which in itself is a testament to him. Extra credit helps. 5

One of the kindest, caring, and inspirational professors I've had at Montclair State University. Physics I and II in summer. Physics is challenging but his lectures and teaching style, along with Prof. Warner, and Jarvis made it understandable. As long as you're putting in the work you will get a good grade. HW, & Attendence mandatory. Ex Credit

I don't think I've ever had a more passionate professor than Dr. Hamden. He truly cares about his students, and as long as he knows you and knows that you are putting in the work, then you will get a good grade in his class. His exams can be tricky at times, but if you practice a lot then you will be fine. Overall, Dr. Hamden is awesome!!!

Doc. Hamden in my opinion is the or one of the best professors at MSU. He really cares about his students and wants everyone to pass. He will not rush a lecture or move on to next section until everyone fully understands. He is very interactive, guarantee you will never fall asleep in the class. Plenty of extra credit opportunities. Fair Exams

He genuinely cares about you and does his best to help you achieve an A in his class. His exams are easy if you practice the hw problems. Make sure to learn how to look at a problem and understand which equation you need to use in order to solve it. He gives PLENTY extra credit opportunities, take advantage of them. 3 exams and a cumulative final

Dr. Hamden wants to challenge you. He prepares you well for future goals. Pay attention in class. Sit in the front and ask him questions. He does his best to explain to you the topic. If you still do not understand, the homework is a perfect way to practice. Always ask for help, He will be in his office during office hours, and gives extra credit.

Prepare to write whatever you can. He speeds through his lectures and gives example problems that are not as difficult as the homework or on tests. Changed material on the syllabus multiple times, which was aggravating. He seems to have more of a laid back attitude that does not help because tests and labs had multiple errors in them.

His class isn't too bad, his lectures aren't very helpful though. If you study the online homework and the practice tests you won't do too bad especially since he curves at the end of the course.

Professor is very nice! Have to buy ebook and webassign. I suggest getting it once for both semesters. He give a lot of extra credit for things like making t-shirts and attending optional science lectures. Give about 3 fair exam from hw and class notes. Supplemental tutoring with john park really helps. He answers all the hw question for you.

A very nice professor. He gives alot of extra credit for things like attending special events and sending him videos related to physics. He also curves alot at the end. Webassign homework is given weekly and is very time consuming...use cramster it's worth it. Exams are very fair as they are based off of webassign and lectures.
