He gives 3 exams and a current events paper. But really the only thing that matters are the lab assignments which are pretty easy if you ask questions. I'm not sure how the grading system even works because I bombed every exam (like 60's and above) but got 100's on the lab assignments and got an A. Material on the slideshows doesnt match the exams.

This wasnt the worst class Ive taken but his tests are somewhat difficult because the way he words questions are difficult to understand sometimes. Also sometimes things are on the test that arent on the slideshows. Let him know & he wont count it as incorrect. He gives no extra credit either. He cracks a few jokes sometimes that make me laugh.

DO NOT buy the textbook. You never use it. An easy class but the tests are hard so make sure you study. He also has a very heavy accent.

Taken in the summer. Majority of time is spent doing labs. Other time is spent on him lecturing over 2-3 chapters. Great grading scale (failing is 50 and below). Hes a little hard to understand so you might have to go over the material in the powerpoints yourself. He says dont get the book but get it anyways because not everything is in slides

Take his course in the summer. Class is very easy to pass. Tests are mostly from the slides.

He's a good man. He's funny but he has a bit of an accent that some people say they have a hard time understanding, but you just have to pay attention. This class is all about him reading off of the powerpoints. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you don't read his PPTs youll fail every exam (3 total, no midterm or final).we ended the semester early

You can't understand him well at all, however, he posts the lectures online so you do not have to go to the class. The tests are pretty hard, but he has his own grading system so no one fails (50-below was a D).

Professor Ophori is very passionate about the subject and knows a lot about it. Classes are lectures and non mandatory and a little boring but are helpful because he highlights what will be on the test. There are 3 tests that are very hard, a lot of information, mostly multiple choice. and two essay questions. One current event paper. Labs are easy

What a great professor! I took him for geohydrology and the class was 2 1/2 hours long. It did get boring at times but the information he presented was interesting. He gives out a few hw assignments and makes himself available to help you (which i recommend doing). There is 1 midterm and 1 final, which are hard but he tells you what is on them

Very hard to understand that it makes the class very boring. All the notes are posted online and attendance isn't mandatory. The labs can be hard but you work in groups and grades usually get curved. 3 exams and a current event. The exams can be very hard so make sure to study. Book isn't necessary.

you dont need to take notes bc he will provide them for u. attendance is not mandatory but if enough people dont show, slides will not be posted on canvas. it is easier to understand him if u sit in the front. he gets confusing but he basically lets u cheat on tests so even if u dont get a good grade, he curves for u. dont buy book!

I had a lot of trouble in this class. At first it wasn't so bad, then he assigned hw...it was stuff we never really went over, it was asking a lot of math that he said we didn't need to know. I think the class would have been better with another teacher, but his curve is pretty good. The first test was easy, second not so much and he never helps out

He is not very easy to understand, but he is really nice and if you need help with something he def will explain things but his accent makes it difficult sometimes. He's not a bad professor but his first 2 tests were so hard. He gave notes but the test questions would be worded extremely difficult. But he ended class a month early so he's awesome!

He's not the easiest person to understand, but the class isn't difficult at all. His tests are fairly easy considering that he gives you the notes that are necessary. If you attend labs and study the material he gives you, then there's no way you'll fail. He's a genuine person.

Interesting topic but his accent makes the material difficult to understand. Very nice professor who would do anything for a student who works hard. 3 exams some what hard just study and really memorize all of his handouts! Pay attention when he shows examples of erosion etc. They are essay questions.
