George has inspired me immensely and I am so displeased to hear that he is no longer with us (at MSU at least, lol xd). It is an outrage that he is no longer teaching, he is the greatest thing in my life since soft pretzels. I enjoy his teaching more than I do Mr. Miller's.

HOE COULD ANYONE NOT LIKE THIS CLASS? He's great. Just a totally normal guy doing what he likes to do. Very down to earth. Really trys to spark interest in the topics. EASY, FUN, HILARIOUS, GREAT!!! Unlike any other class you'll ever take.

Anyone that thinks this class is "hard" or that George has a big ego must have rarely attended class. If you go to class all the time you are pretty much guaranteed an A. I studied for maybe 30 minutes for each test and got an A on them. Definitely the class to take to fulfil your REL 100 course!

He has a different style of teaching but class is usually fun it gets better towards the end. Papers are easy aslong as you cite your sources the way he wants. I would recommend him to anybody that has to take a religion course.

I love this man's teaching method. He does an fantastic job of getting students to answer there own questions. Yes he cusses, yes there's a lot of talk about "what is real?" but I really got a lot out of this class and I think anyone else with an open mind would as well. Great Teacher.

I absolutely hated this class!!! Horrible teacher!!!! He is so into himself it is not even funny. Plus I did not pay lots of money to be taught by using cuss words. I use cuss words alot but this guy had no business bringing them into his lectures. DON"T TAKE HIM

BY FAR, the best teacher I've ever had. There is a lot of philosophy involved, but that is necessary to be able to further understand a religious faith beyond simply doctrine. Very engaging, interesting, and fun class. He has awesome and unique ways of relating course material. I recommend him to everyone I meet + wish he taught upper levels.

This guy is HORRIBLE!!! I love learning about different religions, but this was pretty much just a philosophy class! If you enjoy philosophy, take this class. If you want to learn about religion, don't. We spent several class periods discussing "What is TRUTH?" "What is JUSTICE?" "Do they even exist?" "Does this chair exist?" He is VERY conceited!

Both tests are pretty easy if you just go to class and listen. The final is almost identical to the first two tests - just review the Test Reviews in Blackboard. The group project is pretty easy, too, as long as you just talk for the full time and aren't incredibly terrible. George is an awesome teacher, and you won't regret taking him.

This class was a fun class. I enjoyed playing the games we played! The first test was all matching...it's hard, but the second test is totally easy! The class is very different from any of my other classes because the class is open discussion. He always asks "Why?" about everything.

George was probably the greatest teacher I will ever have at Missouri State. If you realize that his entire goal is to get you to think critically, and to have fun in his class you will enjoy it. The only reason people drop his class is because they are strictly textbook, and George is not. George is awesome. Period.

This was a very fun class! The first test is hard, but the second one is easy if you took good notes. The movie project takes a lot of time, but is actually really interesting and eye opening. His final is so easy, just study the previous tests! George isn't only a great teacher, but he cares so much about his students!

A pale, bone thin young man he is. He also works at a fudge factory at a Branson outlet. He asks to much from his students. I decided to drop the class, along with most of the other students in his class.

Comment:

This class was great! I learned how relgion can break through every aspect of human life. It was interesting and fun. We played "games" such as one with ethics, we watch movies and we presented them, and finally we had a good time. He encourages individual participation and that makes it all fun in the end. He is scholarly and funny- good mix!
