fun class! But... be prepared to work. She is pretty particular on what she is looking for, but if you listen and do what she asks, you will be fine. Get to do a sketchbook, see plays, in class projects, and build a model. Recommended!

Comment:

Intro to design was a great class. I had no prior knowledge in this area, but I had a blast. Some kids in the class complained about the work load, but it really is not that bad. I found some of the work fun. I would definitely recommend this class to both theatre and non-theatre majors. Professor Firkins is extremely nice and helpful.

Um... Jacqueline is the reason why I kept my theatre major. She is smart and really brilliant when it comes to developing concepts for theatre. If you can grasp the objectives of her classes you will only do great things in your other theatre classes. The people who do not like her are usually individuals who have not interest in art. She rocks.

Jacqueline is the bomb...her class is fun and you learn a lot. Great way to start off your freshman year, and she'll answer any question you have about designing or theatre in general. Extremely helpful, discussions aren't that bad, class is a blast, and she's hot too...what more is there?

She is very passive aggresive and manipulative...she can teach you alot but watch your back she can't be fully trusted. In the end she sides with April on many things and will rat you out to her as well. Be wary

Jacqueline's great. Very approachable and will help you out with whatever you need, whether it be how to draw or a piece of material to borrow. Mostly discussion-based, so be prepared, but a wonderful class! Highly reccommended.

Jacqueline is amazing. She will make you work hard, but you truly feel you've done well. Go to class, meet deadlines...she is also very understanding though, just be honest. She supports her students inside and out of the classroom. Wonderful lady!

Im not a fan... avoid doing any project during a specific time period unless you know it well and your willing to argue. This woman knows her history and will critique your work until your blue in the face. SHE IS VERY NICE, but lacks orignial creativity.

Jacqueline is awesome! She's really quirky and fun. The work can be tough, but she's extremely helpful and understanding. She wants you to succeed and feel good about the work you're doing. She doesn't expect perfection, just effort.

Jacqueline is awesome! She expects a lot, but she'll help you to get it done. She's awesome outside of class too. The discussions can get rather tedious after awhile, but it's kind of hard to do much else with the material of the class.

She knows her stuff. She was very nice, but the class wasn't by any means a blowoff class. This class involves a lot of discussion, which can get boring very fast. She is very willing to help you with whatever you need, and always loves a good joke.
