Very helpful. Actually makes physics fun by showing real world applications with his demos. Has ample office hours. Gives practice exams. 80% was cut off for A-. If you want to do well in his class, you will have to put in alot of time and effort. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS!!! notice the caps and the !!!

He is such an amazing guy that you think he is a great teacher! He is trying so hard, but I rate him 2 out of five cause he doesn't explain material good enough that is understandable for even 25% of students. Dr. Singley is a really nice guy. Physics is hard no matter who the teacher is.... you will do fine if you go to class (class activities 5%), do the HW (25%!!!!), and go to his office hours if possible. Office hours are KEY. He is always there to help so take advantage of it! He will tell you exactly what is on the exam if you just ask... :-)

Dr. Singley is one of the best profs. I have ever had. Physics is tough, but he made it a lot of fun, and though attendance is not "mandatory," it is if you want to get a decent grade (in class act.) Those who say he can't teach likely never went to office hours. That is what saved me every quarter. Also, do the homework. It will be on the tests

Excellent professor! Had a horrible physics professor before this, difference was like night and day. Physics is hard for me and I did okay, so if you are willing to work for it you can succeed. Dr. Singley is always willing to answer questions, always courteous with a positive attitude, has realistic expectations of students, and curves grading.

Cool guy, powerpoints and homeworks will guide you to the tests. Gives a study guide, but I found he'll sneak a question or two from left field. Tests are ALL short answer, so know the material. Also, pop quizzes every week, come on time with knowledge of last class' lecture. Bottom line: you get what you give.

Dr. Singley is a fun teacher. He really enjoys his subject and this comes out when he is teaching it. He was always available to help with any questions you might have. Astronomy wasn't something that I was very interested in before but this class changed that. I don't know if it is the subject or the teacher but I really enjoyed this class.
