Joan Emmans is an amazing professor and person. She takes her time to explain concepts in a clear and comprehensive manner and does not move on until the entire class understands it. She is always willing to help and does whatever she can to ensure that her students succeed.

Wonderful prof. One of the best. I thought she was very open to answering questions. She's very clear and gives great examples. Lectures move at appropriate pace and exams are very fair.

Although she's not the worst prof I've had, Emmans is quite discouraging. For example, she races through her lectures and then resents students for asking questions. Beware, keep quiet!

Another great teacher. She was straight-foward, as were her exams. Everything we learned was information we would use in practice. I like that she put information in context. From the names used in her examples I think she may watch too much TV.

Shes a great teacher, very easy to understand. Explains things well. Sometimes I think she gets a little frustrated at people's questions if she think they are stupid. She's still a good teacher.

I had Joan for other classes and I found her to be a much better professor in those subjects. She just rambles on from the text and is taken aback when you ask a question. She made us do an inclass assignment, which was almost impossible to do.

Emmans is a good teacher, she takes a lot of time to prepare her notes and prepare exercise sheets. however, she's a difficult grader- she looks for areas to deduct. Even with difficult topics she shows no leniency. if you had an 80%, she'll round it to a 79%.

Excellent teacher. ALmost impossible not to get an A if you come to class and take notes. She also does class review at end of each section, that matches what she taught. Really good teacher.

Joan is a nice, but the woman can't teach.I don't have anything against her as a person but taking her class is a waste of time and money.I had to go to other profs to get help could not explaine the course material or take responsibility for the fact that the majority of her students were failing.
