John Dawson has great lectures but his exams are very hard. There are only four so if you mess up on one, say goodbye to your A. The quizzes are easy and can be found on quizlet. Purchase the study guide- it helps.

He gives solid lectures, but that's basically the entire premise of the class. You'll have some quizzes that can all easily be found on Quizlet, and he made a study guide for the entire textbook that I recommend buying. It's an easy high grade so long as you pay attention and study for the 4 exams (25 questions each, not cumulative). Great teacher.

It is pretty ridiculous that you have to purchase a study guide, but it is VERY helpful. Even though attendance is not mandatory, go to class it helps a ton. Even though Dawson doesn't give extra credit, I found it useful to go to his office hours to ask any questions. You absolutely have to read and study to pass this class.

Loved Prof Dawson! He turned this hard subject into something interesting. His lectures are always easy to listen and pay attention to, which is good bc you really need to go to class and pay attention to pass. It's a hard subject but he explains things well and offers a study guide that he wrote for like $30 or something which helps. Def recommend

ridiculously hard class but dawson does his best to make sure everyone understands the material. no involvement with the class, just stands up front lecturing and working through 15 graphs per class period making it hard to have a firm grasp on the material unless you study for many hours each week. Cool guy but there's no way around the hard class

Dawson is a good teacher but very stuck up and it comes across very easily in his lectures. Definitely buy the study guides it will save your grade in this course. Just make sure you study a lot. I studied for 2 weeks and made a B. You don't want to miss class. There's no attendance but if you don't plan on going, don't plan on passing.

I took John Dawson for Macro, and it was pretty tough. You're graded by 4 exams and a few quizzes, and you definitely have to study to do well. He sells a study guide which is kind of strange but I bought it and it helped a lot. Solid professor, hard material.

Cool person, not a great professor. 4 exams make up your grade- they are HARD, he sells his study guide to his students, I bought it and it barely helped me but it could be worth making a friend or two in the class and splitting the cost to share the documents. I would recommend John Lehman or Ash Morgan instead of Dawson- drop before its too late.

John Dawson is an amazing professor. His class isn't hard you really just gotta study and take good notes. The first unit (GDP) is boring but the rest are very interesting. I didn't buy the study guide and I still got an easy A. 10/10 great professor.

Dawson is a really good Econ prof. He definitely knows his stuff and is good at communicating it. Your grade is based on three tests, the last of which is easy admitted by JD. He hates when people don't go to class so he will tell the kids that are there some of the tricky questions he will ask. BUY THE STUDY GUIDE, STUDY IT, you will get an A.

Good professor but lectures can become boring or pointless. Tests are not too hard for the amount of material that is in the class. If you want to to do well on the tests then buy the study guide and you do not necessarily have to go to class but it does help.

Professor Dawson is one of the best I've had at App. He keeps you engaged in his interesting lectures and never tries to trick you on assignments. There are a few quizzes, but no homework. There are only four exams, but they are all multiple choice and straight forward. Attendance is not required but I skipped a few classes and failed that exam.

Dawson is fantastic. His lectures align with his exams and quizzes. Tests are 25 multiple choice questions, which makes them hard, but he sells a study guide for the entire course at the beginning of the year. BUY IT! This class has been super hard, but if you work better with chalkboard lecture and traditional notes and studying, he's your guy.

Professor Dawson is a great guy who cares a lot about what he's teaching. He sells study guides for his class at the beginning of the semester for $50 (all of them together). Buy the study guide, the only way you'll pass his class. There were 7 online quizzes and 4 exams and no final. This is all you're graded on.

There are four tests and a handful of online quizzes. The lectures are very helpful and straightforward. If you take notes each class and study them, the quizzes/tests aren't that hard. Very structured class with organized units and clear grading criteria.

I totally loved Dawsons class because theres a pretty simple way to pass- take good notes- read the book for specific examples- always study the multiple choice practice questions in his online S.G.- and you should be golden. He was totally a hard ass in his office and doesn't mess with extra credit but if you study boi you won't need it.
