Comment:

Dr. Brumfield is straight-forward with what he wants. Tests can require some studying, but are very doable if you study (just find a quizlet). This was my easiest bible class I took. Lectures can sometimes be a little boring, but not near as bad as other bible classes. A very solid choice.

Comment:

It seems as though Joe shows up to class and decides what hes going to say as the words leave his mouth. Two sentences never have anything to do with the other, and tangents can appear out of nowhere. The class is common sense, dont bother to do the reading or even study to get an A in his class.

Comment:

Dr. Brumfield is a genuine, sweet man; he values the human above all and is a very accommodating, considerate teacher. He is easy to approach out of class, so if you do the reading and quizzes (enough to pass the tests) and seek help and extra credit if need be, there is no reason you can't get an A. This was one of my easiest Bible classes.

Really great guy and would take him again. He genuinely cares about his students and goes out of his way if any of them need anything. We may have some differing opinions but he never forces his opinion or his biblical interpretation, but teaches us the face and the scriptures and lets us interpret it how we see fit.

Mr. Joe is a very caring man who wants you to learn and earn a good grade. He doesn't assign any homework, other than outside reading which is nothing. His tests and quizzes are easy if you pay attention. He is funny, you will love this class.

Mr. Joe is an amazing guy and a great teacher. He is very funny during class and helps you to learn a lot without the use of a lot of tests and quizzes. The tests and quizzes he does give are easy if you pay attention. Easy A, you would miss out not taking this man.

Dr. Joe is a great teacher who cares about his students. His class is very easy and there are not many tests/quizzes and the only homework is outside reading and every Bible class has that. 10/10!

Brumfield is a great guy. The quizzes are decent and the tests are super easy (common sense). The information is great and if you apply yourself, you'll learn valuable stuff. You get out what you put in. It's an easy A.

Dr. Brumfield is an extremely nice man, and his Christian Families class was one of the easiest As I've ever earned. But it was also incredibly boring. Granted, he had some good advice and the occasional interesting story, but for the most part it felt more like I was in Bible camp than in a college course. But if you do need an easy A, take him.

Very frustrating class. This is Christian Counseling, and I'm sure I understand the ethical guidelines surrounding counseling better than him. He brings in his real clients and tells us to "counsel" them, making a big show of how we can't tell anyone we're counseling his clients, because that breaks ethical code. So sketch.

He is a super nice guy, but he can be a little weird at times. I found his class extremely easy. We hardly ever really had to do anything. He was a little repetitive sometimes, but his class was really really easy.

Dr. Joe was the best instructor I had my entire first year at Harding. He even baptized me in my New Testament class. We had bonfires at his house, and he was just really friendly. He goes over all of the test questions if you go to his class at Downtown on Wednesdays. He was wonderful. TAKE HIM!

Dr. Joe is one of the best men I've ever met. He cares so deeply for his students. All he wants is to help us fall in love with God. He's not into paper and homework, it's mostly discussion and can sometimes seem jumbled because of his excitement for the Lord. He is a "practical" teacher and that isn't for everyone. Some want more "academic."

Dr. Joe was great. He was very easy - do the reviews with him and you'll ace the tests. He cares about what you have to say and he loves when people ask him questions. He doesn't claim to know everything, but he teaches to the best of his ability and directly from the Bible. He doesn't mince words, and he really pushes marriage, but it was amusing!

Dr. Joe is such a nice man. He really cares about his students. Yes, he is scattered brained but he has really good ideas. You don't have to take notes. He is very laid back. Do the reviews and you will pass the tests with an A. He talks about sex a lot and dating which is interesting, most teachers go away from that. i liked his class a lot.

I love Dr. Joe! Took him for 2 classes freshman year. He is a bit scattered in his teaching and sometimes repeats things several times, but he has the purest heart, and explains both sides of controversial issues very well. Not much studying required.

He's a great man, but sometimes he gets a little off topic and can be a little boring to listen to, but he has a wonderful heart and you can tell he really cares about what we all do with our lives. I would take him for another class too!
