took this class 2004. I didn't put a lot of hard work in his class. I crammed 8 hrs before the exam and got a B in the class. I just remembered he wasn't easy on the history papers (grammar, etc) and wanted us to participate in class by discussions, which only about 10% spoke. He rounded - and + for me because he told me I went to class.

I enjoyed his class very much. Be warned his tests are very hard, but if you write down everything he says and read the book you should do ok. He is very intellegent and talks alot about his political views which are between middle road to liberal. If you are too conservative or too liberal, you may be rubbed the wrong way.

Mr. Hickerson is a good instructor. However, be warened that his tests are difficult in the sense that they do not test what you learned from the lecture. He is funny, informative, and very helpful. He just needs to lessen up on his tests and essays...

Mr. Hickerson is a great teacher i learned a lot form him u just have to interact with him and it becomes fun, the daily discussions on current issues are helpful too. Do what he asks and you will suceed.

Took Mr. Hickerson's class at another college for te same subject and loved it! His class covers a lot in a short period and the work is fast-paced but his lectures are interesting. Has a good sense of humor (not lousy).

He indoctrinates his socialistic ideas to his students...lousy sense of humor... very unclear lectures.. unhelpful and above pathetic!!! I'm sorry I wasted the money on this class.

Mr. Hickerson's lectures don't always cover what are in his exams. This makes his exams diffucult. His test questions are from gary rutledge web sites. I don't like the way he says that he doesn't have to stand for the pledge of allegiance. Shame on you

Comment:

Great teacher. Understanding of things like family, jobs, etc. Interesting lectures, sense of humor, great stories. Don't be afraid of his syllabus, sounds like a lot, but in the end it is very manageable.
