Dr. Younger is probably the best professor at KU. He has well rounded knowledge and cannot be outdone on Greek history. Go to lecture and get some of his awesome stories from living in Greece during the 60's-70's (during the military Junta). Can't recommend him enough. Great guy and professor.

He's an extremely knowledgeable guy, but his guidelines for projects were not very clear. However, he's also a fair grader and won't dock you for doing an assignment differently than he imagined. No final if you show up to lecture!

One of the best teachers I have had a KU! He is very passionate about what he teaches and really cares about his students and their learning of the material. Very interesting to listen to in class! Even though attendance was mandatory, I wanted to go to class every day.

I took Intro. to Archaeology with Younger, and it was a pretty fun class. He has an interesting sense of humor, and his lectures are usually pretty interesting. Go to class and do well on the mid-term, because if you are happy with your grade, you can opt out of the final. Attendance is mandatory, but it's a pretty cool class.

Dr. Younger really knows his stuff. His lectures are engaging and even his tangents are extremely relevant to the material. As long as you are in class and take notes, you will have no problem on the tests, so don't bother with the text book. Dr. Younger is very liberal and intelligent, one of my favorite professors at KU!

Dr. Younger was by far one of the greatest professors i have ever had. His class was EASY!!! Dont buy the text book you dont need it. He gives you the midterm and final before you take it, and if your in class you dont have to take the final if your happy with your grade!!

Prof. Younger was a great teacher. I enjoyed the way he held his lectures and he didn't just read off his powerpoint slides like what most professors do. This was the first Budig lecture I had my freshmen year and it was a good pick. To have a good grade you do have to read all the books and including the text.

dr. younger is very funny and sarcastic, but i got a 68 on my first exam. you have to know quotes from like 12 diff books and who said them which was hard. otherwise great class, but i hated the discussion class.

Dr. Younger was an awesome teacher. His exams were pretty simple and you were well-prepared if you did the study guide. He has a good sense of humor and tells a lot of interesting life stories that really illustrate the class. I highly recommend this teacher.

Younger is the MAN. By far the best teacher I've ever had at KU. He's hilarious and his tests aren't hard. Review sheet for midterm/final cover ALL material. If you don't love John Younger, you have no sense of humor, because his sarcasm is amazing, and he made an interesting subject even more interesting with his commentary. CLSX 148 = Younger

Overall not a difficult class. The midterm and finals both have a study guide with every possible question on them. The lecture itself seemed very extraneous. The readings/discussion were more important and your grade definitely depends on the TA.
