I loved Dr. Rabren class! She's very helpful and puts all of her notes online. She also presented the information in an interesting way. Her test were straight from the lecture notes that she posted online. If I had the chance I would take her again.

So much material covered nothing was comprehended. Could be very benefial for all students if taught differently. This should be a 4 Credit hour class with the busy work. Students are treated as 10 year olds, really ridiculous!

Hypersensitive rural woman. She perceives slights and questioning of her "expertise" where it doesn't exist, and she holds an intense grudge. She also teaches like she is teaching sixth grade special education students. Wants a lot of praise; and be careful with inflections in your voice when addressing her. In fact, better to avoid altogether.

This class is a joke! She is extremely knowledgable of special education and wants everyone to know that. Her attendance policy is unwavering. You cannot miss but one class...univedrsity approved excuse or not. Her lectures are scattered and she lectures for the entire class session...which is 3 hours long. Avoid if possible.

Staying awake in her class was pure, unmitigated torture. She is kind of boring and her voice puts one to sleep and/or gets on one's nerves. Too much nitpicking crap too versus actually learning anything. I did appreciate her feedback on assignments, which was very extensive and thorough and told me that she takes her assignments very seriously.

Dr. Rabren was a very knowledgeable professor. I learned a lot about special education issues by taking this class. Her tests are twenty multiple-choice questions which often come from obscure parts of the readings or class notes, which she posts on WebCT; make sure you study. All things considered, I would probably take Dr. Rabren again.

This professor is so ridiculously meticulous about attendance and attention to detail that it makes you want to quit doing your best in her class. Very defensive - don't ever question her.

Comment:
This professor is very unclear. Her lectures wander from subject to subject with no aparent link between topics. Mrs. Raben is very defensive, and does not help students with problems. She says things in class about assignments and/or policy and then claims that she never said them, frequently to the detriment of multiple students' grades.

-clarity of lectures very poor -instruction on assignments poor -lectures are very choppy and jump from subject to subject making them very hard to follow -very strict on attendance policy; will not consider any leway here -leaves no room for error

This teacher gives WAY!!! to much busy work. Also, she expects you to keep up with every assignment and turn them in--I mean seriously, the last time anyone had to do that was middle school! Also, it was very boring and uninteresting. Dont take her class unless you HAVE to!
