i've taken tons of classes with her, she picks favorites like none other and if she decides she doesn't like you it's over. she's also my advisor and she's told me 3 different times when I can graduate then keeps realizing she's wrong. not too organized.

The Cultural Journeys Through Cinema course was the 4th and WORST class I've taken from her. She doesn't know anything about film, interrupts guest professors constantly and then yells at students for interrupting her. She graded each paper with a different syllabus. She makes corrections on your papers that are either wrong or make no sense.

With respect to the "Cross Cultural Journeys through Cinema" class, Louise Donohue proved to deliver the biggest waste of time I've ever experienced in college. She does no prior work for the films, chooses favorites in the class, and penalizes you for not holding the same opinons as she. The WHOLE syllabus changed SIX times during the semester!

Film course. Nice, but she never really teaches the course until we get to the French Films. We have guest lecturers every week. Watch a movie a week. 2 essay and a final exam. 4 languages mainly. Italian, German, Spanish, and French. She doesn't really help you that much because she doesn't need to .

Louise was fun. I had her Fall 2004 and am taking another class w/ her in fall 2005. She inspired me to minor in French. I'll admit, I'm biased as I love French, esp being a quarter French myself :P. You learn and have fun in her class. She is full of interesting info. and the singings fun!- a lot more than a boring lecture

Shes bubbly, friendly, nice, and British! I love her sense of humor and her wit. Always felt comfortable in class with her. I stop by to say hi often.

She was really easy when she first started at Ithaca. She's gotten a little bit harder. But she's a fun. She's just a little bit crazy though. She's into what she teaches, which is really good.
