Comment:

Professor Brandon doesn't get enough credit. He is one of the best Professors ar Ramapo hands down. He is very kind and wants everyone to succeed as much as possible. If you don't understand something ask because he answers. He's funny and very free-spirited just don't piss him off. 100% would take again.

Overall, not a bad guy. However must of his class lectures are firmly based off of Youtube videos that somehow relate to the topic. Fairly easy grader, however slightly sloppy when handling student grades, reaching out back to students via email and handing out well composed exams.

seasoned, knowledgeable musician, tons of info and stories to share with the class. that said, if you can't be on time, he's not afraid to lock the door on anyone more than 5 minutes late. anything under that earns you a nasty remark in front of the class. he's not afraid to sugarcoat anything, which is both good and bad. take at your own risk

He's a nice guy, and certainly is passionate about teaching, but I don't like the way he runs the class. He gives assignments that are not on the syllabus and that really drives me crazy. He's not bad, he's just not the right kind of professor for me.

As a former student of Mack's and RCNJ graduate, I can honestly say that Mack taught me a great deal and helped mentally prepare me. Mack can be harsh at times because he tells it like it is and doesn't sugar coat anything. This method proved to be beneficial for me and I recommend his classes to any serious music student.

Guy has no idea what he is doing. Assigns papers that he makes up on the spot. Memorize hundreds of people...doesnt ever answer his emails. Teaches nothing. Oh and makes up a research paper assignment with 2 days left of class. Dont take him unless you feel like being extremely frustrated all semester

Take out a piece of paper, write your name on the top, question #1, (deep) hahahaha LOVE him!!! Be ready to hear this as soon as you walk in, after he assigns readings. He pulls ALL questions from his head at that moment. Many hated this as it was informal and he never hands them back. He wants to see if ur paying att and not nec. understandingA+

I LOVED this class, Mack is AWESOME!!! He was a little unorganized yes, but knew exactley how to deliver and make it fun for everyone. Your not going to build rockets with this class, but you will learn about the music. ATTENDANCE and ON TIME is MANDATORY. Easy A if you do what is asked and pay attention. BE HONEST!!! If you didnt read, say it.

Not entirely sure about this guy. He's a fantastic musician himself, and genuinely cares about his students. He'll make you feel good when you're improving, but when you're messing up, he's gonna let you have it, which isn't always a bad thing. Some assignments felt pointless, but overall, the class wasn't so bad, and I did notice that I improved.

Very worldly professor who knows his stuff. He seems interested in what the students think about certain material. His teaching and evaluation methods can be a little lack luster and unclear, but he often has interesting things to say and he is a pretty funny guy too. He did ask us what grades we thought we deserved and I did receive that grade.

Comment:

Terrible absolutely terrible, has the class read chapters upon chapters of text from 2 text books then quizes us not on a written quiz but verbally, making up the questions as he goes along. Exams are another problem, 100+ "term" sheet of names and other "facts", and the exam is in the same format just names no questions, AVOID HIM!
