I do not know if Dr. Patterson will be lecturing anymore now that he is the mayor. Top notch professor and an even better person. If you get the chance take a class with the best OU has to offer.

I had Dr. P for physiological psych and I didn't think his class was too bad. He tells lots of stories and tries to keep things interesting. The only grades though are 4 multiple choice tests with only 40 questions which makes it difficult to do well if you mess up. He does offer 10 points of extra credit though.

Great professor. But he doesn't put his class on blackboard, and the only grades are 4 exams, which aren't too bad if you go to class and get the notes, and up to 10 pts of extra credit. No chance he'll email you back which is very frustrating. So try office hours.

Offers up to 10 points of extra credit. Must attend class and take good notes because tests are based off lecture and he doesnt use blackboard. I averaged a B on each test tests are difficult, but if you take good notes you should be fine. He tells a lot of great stories too that related to the material. don't buy book didn't use it once.

Great class. It's focus is on biology/physiology more so than psychology. He is funny and a great guy, but a little scatterbrained. There are mandatory labs on Thursdays or 8 weeks. They last 30 minutes and then you leave early. If you go to them all its worth an exam. Extra credit through studies is offered too. Exams are decent, little hard

He's an interesting guy and fun to listen to, but the class is kind of hard. There four tests and all four of them had different formats, making it very hard to study or know what you're getting yourself in to. Lots of extra credit though to make up for it.

A very entertaining lecturer. He is funny and knowledgeable. Though phys psych might not be interesting to everyone, his humor and style makes going to class easy. i guess some probably would find the material difficult, but he goes over the exam beforehand and offers a good deal of extra credit (study participation). take 312 with Dr. Patterson.

Good professor but material was pretty bland! I went into the class hoping to learn about psychology but learned more biological stuff. Tests are extremely difficult-40 m.c. questions but very confusing wording. I reccommend this class but it is def. a challenge!

My fav prof at OU! Interesting guy with good stories and funny jokes. He's very nice and easy to approach, unlike some profs who don't care whether their students are learning or not and don't want to be bothered with questions. The class was very interesting and enjoyable.

Dr. P is great. He's extremely laid back and pretty funny. Sometimes he does say some dirty awkward jokes but they're usually funny. His tests are extremely straight-forward and there are a lot of ways to get extra cred. I never needed to use the book. Just listen to his lectures. Fun class, learned a lot!

By far the BEST teacher I've ever had! He's so nice and make class enjoyable to attend! He's so funny and has a great story/explanation to go along with everything! Take him if you have the chance!

Class is interesting, and professor is really cool! He tries to make the class fun and explains things very well. He takes time to go over everything that will be on the exam. He also gives many bonus point opportunities. I would definitely recommend this class or any other class that Dr. P teaches because he is a great professor!

I liked the class a lot; it had interesting, applicable information. It got more interesting as it progressed, with my favorite topics being sleep and the developmental, cerebrovascular, & mental disorders at the end. Dr. P is really knowledgeable and makes the class fun. Take this & Psychophysiology - both are pretty cool.

alright class- real laid back prof - but he thinks he's really funny and tries to be really cool and best friends with the students - he talks about a lot of irrelevant things because he wants everyone to like him and think he's fun- but i'm sure i was the only person getting annoyed with that. i will recommend the class though, its pretty easy.

Really good teacher. He get's you interested in the subject and adds in a lot of funny stories to make the class go faster. The material is hard but mostly over the notes.
