Mr. Chamberlain is a good professor. He clear with his expectations and grading and gives good feedback. He is also very responsive to emails. This was a tough class and if you dont read and do the research on your own, you wont pass. Sometimes I felt the exam questions were relative to our discussions though, hence the four stars.

Hands down the best professor I've had at Towson. SO fair with gradings, exams so similar to homework with a few surprises. brings useful, real life examples to class. Always willing to answer questions or help with homework. Doesn't really answer email, but his office door is always open.... A MUST TAKE!

I believe he is the only choice for this course. The class is tough, it helps to use supplemental material i.e. videos online. HW, tests, country paper

Chambers is a great guy and very smart. If you actually like economics (and not just trying to get a degree), take him. He has taught me so much. It is not easy, but worth it. From someone who never goes to class, I actually WANT to hear him lecture. So attendance is not mandatory, but I go anyways.

Homeworks could be found online, exams are not in the syllabus. Not recommended. Don't understand how he could get elected as head of econs

Lazy guy. Grades lazily and just passes students. Exams wont be from the textbook but only from his words or his notes. Meh

Professor Chambers is a great economics professor to have, very knowledgeable of his field and good at giving lectures. I really liked the format of his class, especially though TopHat, and enjoyed the curriculum we covered. His tests can be tough sometimes, but I would definitely recommend him for Macro.

Dr. Chambers does the best job he can with difficult subject material. His notes are posted online for the whole semester at the beginning, but supplemental graphs are given in class to accompany. No attendance, but if you don't go you will be sorry. He is funny, very smart and tries to make the material relevant. Overall, I would take him again.

He's not the worst professor I've had. He can be unclear sometimes. His notes are long and boring. You have to attend class before you can use his notes because all diagrams in the class, are only explained in the notes. He gives a lot of extra credit (we needed it).

You find yourself wondering what is it that we're doing it and why are we doing it in this course. Handwriting is horrible and the book is useless. It's difficult to understand what corrections you need to make when only descriptions are given about the graphs in the hw answer key with no actual graphs. He gives a lot of extra credit bc you need it

Rude. Tells you one thing and means another. Comes off cool at first but then he shows you how awful of a person he is. Very difficult to work with. Avoid at all costs. If you like mean teachers then take him. I never thought a professor would be this mean and rude. Good luck if you do take him. You will need it

Dr. Chambers is a very helpful professor if you know how to utilize your resources (econ joke) but in all seriousnes, he is very approachable and his door is always open for office hours. He sat with me and explained things until I understood the material. Highly recommend.

Comment:
Dr. Chambers was nice, a generous grader, and he made class interesting. However, his lectures were vague and it was difficult to follow the progression of the course. That might be the nature of macro theory in general, but it could have been taught more clearly. If I had to take this again, I would audit. Cool material but confusing delivery.

first the textbook is useless. his lecture are very vague and its difficult to study for the test because he isn't very clear in explaining things and doesn't put the graphs we need to know in the lecture notes. therefore..copy all the graphs in lecture and don't loose them! he does give a lot of partial credit on tests.

HE is a great teacher. As long as you attend ALL classes and thoroughly read his online lecture notes, there is no reason why you cannot get an A. I did it and I am an idiot.

Grade is 25% x 2 Midterms, 20% x top 5 of 6 homeworks, and 30% final exam. Exam is non cumulative. Lots of theory, make sure your algebra is top notch if you're going to take his class. It's very dry material and he doesn't make it exciting, I felt like I was falling asleep in class for the first few weeks. Make sure you use his lecture notes!
