This is so easy, the assignments are common sense. Attendance is not mandatory but she gives quizzes about every other class. her lectures are BORING and it is hard to get through them but you dont really need them for any of the assignments. you work on one research topic the whole semester with the same group she assigns on the first day.

This is the most work Ive ever done for a class & I am a junior. Theres weekly quizzes, recitation exercises, and 3 group assignments which are extremely long, especially if your group isnt helpful. The instructions are different each document you open so make sure you follow both if you want to get a good grade. Easy A but LOTS OF WORK!!

There are weekly quizzes based on the textbook readings, but the quizzes are passable without the textbooks if you pay attention and take notes on the lectures. Don't waste your money buying the textbooks if you can. It's not a tough course, but it sure is the most tedious and impersonal class setting I've ever experienced.

This class is super easy just do the work. You have to work with an assigned group and you pick a topic for the whole year and do research projects. the TA's are the ones grading, so give it your best and you'll get an A. Quizzes every week, so make sure you read your book.

Professor Gupta is a great professor. She is very caring of others. If you want a good grade I recommend going to class everyday and keeping up with the readings and group/individual work. There are pop quizzes!!!

Comment:
The instructor for this class was nonexistent. We spoke to the TA directly for any issues. The class is an 100 level but the assignments are designed for an at least 300 level. No one is on the same page with the TA and professor, so it caused a lot of confusion in the class. We were definitely over worked.

-TA teaches whole course -Disorganized -"Research Strategies" is a book that could be a PPT -TA recitation "any questions" over basic material -Graded Info Lit Tutorial - Unskippable, horrible audio quality, retakes mean repeating entire thing -Endnote is not user friendly. Im a CS major and I think its awful -Group Projects Easy but don't take.

This class was very disorganized and taught me absolutely nothing. Her lectures were filled with nonsense, but she forces the class to be mandatory by having a pop quiz every week and occasionally giving people a 0 for the day if they don't show up. The TAs were very unreliable. I ignored the warnings about taking this class. Don't be like me.

Professor Gupta is great, he has a straight forward syllabus you must follow. Little assignments worth 2 points do add up so do not miss any! Do the work and you'll get an A.

Weekly discussion board posts, a PowerPoint, a 4 page paper, and critiquing other students slides. No tests or quizzes. Was definitely an easy class. Grading is a bit slow because its heavily relied on by her TAs. Grading rubrics for each assignment are very clear and she posts examples with them.

Class taught by the TA. Professor was there for the first lecture and would answer emails, fairly quickly. Follow the rubric for the group projects and do the quizzes and it's an easy A.

Class felt too easy for a CS major, likely a good elective for other majors. Big ticket items were a PowerPoint presentation with voice-over, a small research paper, and a small blog post. The rest was commenting on other's work throughout the weeks. Would recommend for an easy elective, but not if you're after something rigorous.

We have like 10 Quizzes, 2 Exams and 4 parts to 1 project. It's not a lot but it's really boring and if you're stuck in a terrible group (like me) you're done.

This class is group work based, except for the midterm and final, which have questions unrelated to the readings or lectures, with *contradicting* information. Your grade is based on the group work, and there's a peer evaluation for each of the 3 major assignments. Your team can give you low scores and sink your grade even if you did all the work.

Literally, this class is the absolute worst. It's a 7th grade english class broken into tiny little pieces so that it takes longer to complete anything. But beware, she is the only teacher teaching this course. And it's required for most majors. So yeah, screw the student right? If you are required to take this class, change majors.

Quizzes are based on the textbook reading, and she does not lecture beforehand. If you do not like reading, do not take this class. The class feels like a joke, but if you put in some work, you will pass. Be sure to follow the rubric exactly, and you are guaranteed full points on projects.

Her schedule differs for every student depending on what color group you're in, and she only bolds some assignments, making you think you don't have to do the ones not in bold. She doesn't teach, she has modules you read. She does offer an extra credit assignment. Instructions are confusing and one assignment had two different sets listed on it.

Only 100-level course I took last semester, and it was pure hell. Vast majority of your grade is dependent on group projects and "peer rating" system. Meaning if your group members don't like you for whatever reason and give you a 0, your entire grade will be tanked. Insane amount of work involved. I got an A, but not without blood and toil.
