Prof Culp is a great professor. I would highly recommend taking him. The class has homework every week and a few tests. Easy A or B if you show up and actually try. Ask him questions during the exam and he will help you get on the right track for the answer.

Comment:

Mr. Culp was an awesome teacher and I really wish I could take a class with him again. He brought accounting to life and I had fun in his class, which was an 8am so it is impressive that I enjoyed this class.

Mr. Culp was a very caring and funny professor. He told stories every class which kept it entertaining. Tests are like what you do in class. Requires purchase of textbook. Homework is through textbook and due every week. I would recommend taking him for accounting he explains things easily.

Professor Culp was the best professor that I have ever had. Hes very sweet and he is 100% worth having an early morning class for. His lectures are amazing and he always tells us stories about his life and his accounting experience before coming to Ball State.

Really funny and just a good person and an even better professor. He deserves the very best students and thanks us for staying in his class and not dropping out. He wants us to succeed at a higher level and I am going to hate not having him for ACC 202.

I struggled in the beginning but did my best and always showed up, but struggling early gave me a challenge to catch up, i ended with a few point from passing but without asking, he gave me the points needed to pass, hes a good man, definitely take his class

Comment:

Culp is an great professor and I highly recommend taking his class. The workload mostly consists of easy online assignments. He lets you know exactly what is going to be on the exams. He also offers extra credit for attending the accounting club meetings. He makes class interesting and actually made me decide to change my major to accounting!

Comment:

100% take Culp's class in person. He's really nice and only teaches you what you need to learn for the tests. Our final involved us picking the topics the questions would be over, and he would go over (precisely) what would be on each exam. Really nice guy overall, just tends to talk a bit too much about his own life/experiences as an accountant.

Even having this class as an 8am I did not dread going to it. Prof Culp makes accounting much more interesting and fun, he is always willing to help out his students, take advantage of this during tests ask him questions hell lead you to the answer or closer than you were before. Make sure you attend his class he takes attendance everyday.

Professor Culp tries to make accounting fun and he likes to have some participation in class. He cares about his students and he will help you whenever needed. Ask questions if you have them because he loves to answer them!!

Comment:

Professor Culp provides little feedback on tests and homework even when you ask for help. In the online class, you basically teach yourself everything. He does not know how to use tech very well and takes a while to respond to emails. I had to work super hard to even get a B.

He's very easy going, but make sure you go to class. If you go and just pay attention you should be alright. Do all of the hw and make sure to write down everything he does on review day and do examples of those to study and that will help you get a good grade on the exams. If you ask him questions during tests he'll lead you to the answers

Do not take an online class with him. He tries to scare you into taking the course in person, however, that is not an option for some. The material and tests are not difficult, but he does not have a full grasp of online technologies, and will not make his documents Mac compatible.

Culp makes the math understandable (it's basic math, so don't sweat it) and the lectures interesting. He uses the textbook in class, so have a paper copy or bring your laptop. He will indicate what topics you need to study before each exam, and rarely has surprise questions. Extra credit is available if you go to accounting club meetings.

Show up to class and take detailed notes. Dont be afraid to ask for extra examples in class; he doesnt always thoroughly explain things the first time. He always tells you exactly what is going to be on tests. Just practice problems in the book and do the homework and you will be fine. He wants everyone to pass.

This professor is wants to relate you, and even though it is accounting, he understands that accounting can be boring, so he tries to make as enjoyable as possible, one the best professor I've ever had.

Great teacher and seems like a great guy. Tells funny stories that usually relate to class. Mrs. Culp is such an enigma I have to meet her. Explains concepts fast enough to get through, yet slow enough for the whole class to grasp. Ask questions and you will be answered. Homework is through connect, which is nice. Offered 10 extra credit points.

Culp is the best possible professor I could've asked for. He's funny, and does funny things to help you remember lessons. He cares about his students success and tries to make relationships with them. He knew none of wanted to be there at 8am, so he made the most of it! you won't regret taking his class!

Comment:

He's a great guy. A true grandpa. Cares a great deal about whether his students are succeeding or not. Tries to keep things lively and funny. Sometimes he'll go on tangents about his life and how it (mostly) relates. I liked the stories, and it didn't detract from the material at all. If you need accounting, take him.
